Looks like a direct replacement of the original one. Hardest part is getting the Dashboard off without breaking it. Would buy it again.

Replaced a broken one in an 08 Chevy Cobalt. Not clicky at all, but the owner is thrilled to have it.

replaced on 2009 chevy cobalt. Alot of people online states you need to “remove the dashboard” to replace this part, this is a lie. All you need to do is remove the speedometer surround (make sure you pop off the plastric straight trim off where the bottom of the speedometer surround hooks under, there is 2 screws there) then you can access and replace this part from the gauge cluster area. I just popped the plastric trim off of the button and popped this button in behind the dash. Worked perfectly.

Installed without incident in my 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Physically getting myself under the dash involved some acrobatics and careful flashlight use (its a pretty easy install, really), but the component worked exactly as intended. I'd say the mechanism is slightly more rigid than the original part, but I'd be just as happy with this if I was doing it over again. My original part randomly stuck in the "on" position after eight or so years.
