Works fine, with a couple of very minor caveats. First, hang onto the retaining clips from the original, as there are 2 different ones and this only comes with one of them. Second, toss the grease that is comes with and spend $10 on some good quality synthetic (I used Mobil 1). Be sure to saturate the CV joint itself with grease, as well as the cup/cover piece that seals off the very front of the driveshaft at the differential. Pack it full. I used half a cartridge. This will keep the grease from working out of the CV joint over the long haul. I had no problems with vibration at all, but if you do, you can likely balance it out by putting on an ordinary hose clamp (trimmed so there's no excess band hanging off). The heavy part is where the screw is, so just drive it and note any change in vibration. Loosen the clamp and rotate it to a different position and drive it again. Keep it up until you find the sweet spot, and then maybe experiment with more or less weight. All in all, this kit is a very good fix, considering a "new" shaft is $600+ and has the same quality CV joint as this kit. Very happy.

Very nice product. Yes you will have to put it together, but that is not too hard.

Okay, so I just replaced the my Drivehsaft CV Joint and replaced it with the Dorman CV Joint Kit. The kit does fit, however the kit's bolts are too short and the washers that secure secure the assembly to the yoke don't fit either. Further, the smaller boot clamp pictured is not included. I ended up having to use my old parts to make this work. If you're going to buy this, please make sure you hold on to your old parts to complete the install. As far as the review that said the kit caused severe vibrations, I experienced the same thing. However, I suspect that the reviewer's driveshaft became unbalanced, just as mine did. I ended up bringing my driveshaft to a driveline repair shop and had it rebalaced. Now it's working just fine. Remember, as with any dynamic component once you change something on it it will likely need to be rebalanced. In the end, the kit worked for me, but not without some frustration along the way. If you're a novice, then I recommend bringing your SUV in for repair. If you're more familiar with drivetrains, then the do-it-yourself option will save you some money.

The actual cv joint works great, i ended up having to use the original screws and pressure spreading washers, the washers it came with did not fit at all! Its not a big deal at all, great product.
