I am glad I got this combo with the extra wiring socket because my 2005 Ford Sport Trac's resistor was all rusted and the socket was rusted and melted so I was able to use both parts to fix the blower speeds back to normal. The parts fit perfect, the instructions are very clear. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to work and I just had to remove 1 screw holding the cruise control module and moved it to the side to get enough space to swap the parts. The shipping was fast. Thank you again!

Part works as it should. Only used resistor because my factory wiring harness is still in great shape. This small job takes some patience as it in a very tight space under the hood. Product works well.

It's worked for a month without issue. Seems to be equal quality of factory bm resistor that it replaced. Factory unit was from June 1997. If this one goes half as long, 13+ years, I'll be happy.

It works great. The only reason it is not 5 stars is the crimp-style wire connectors; they are cheap and easy, but create unreliable connections.

This is a great kit, if you have issues with your fan only blowing on high, or vice versa, get this kit. Do not cheap out and just buy the resistor. I started to pull my resistor out, and the harness plug was melted onto the resistor, boy was I sure glad I got this kit with the harness, made my life so much easier, fixed my issue for under 20 bucks instead of hundreds of dollars at a repair shop. Installed on a 2000 Ford Explorer

Works as advertised.I recommend this kit because the plug is usually rotted into the resistor. Save yourself a lot of headache and just replace the whole assembly. Two bolts, four crimps, and a quick shot with a heat gun and you are on your way.

Awesome kit for the price! Worked on my 2002 ranger.Everything fit, came with instructions, prices look good! Fast shipping was amazing.Only con was the connectors. They're fairly cheap and they only give you 4 for the 4 wires. Don't mess up like I did. But im not going to complain.Highly recommend!

The A/C and heat in my 2001 Ford Ranger would only work on high. I did some googling around and all signs pointed to the blower motor resistor.This kit had everything I needed.I wasn't sure I would need the connector that came with the kit. Ideally, I would like to have just unplugged the old resistor and plugged the new one in. But over time it seems like the existing connector had gotten fused to the resistor and I was unable to remove it without breaking it.The new one comes with crimping connectors but I didn't have a good crimper so I just got out the soldering iron. I took a picture of the existing connection first so I would know what color wire went where, then cut the wires on the old connector and soldered the new one in and wrapped the connections in electrical tape.I can once again use all speeds of my fan from low to high. This was a good purchase.Hint: One of the online how-to's to replace this resistor said I would need to remove the windshield washer reservoir to get to the blower motor. I started to do that but realized on my Ranger that the reservoir was a solid molded piece with the radiator coolant reservoir. Rather than go down that road, I found I could squeeze my hand and a small socket wrench (with an extension) to remove and replace the resistor. It was a very tight squeeze and frustrating at times - there was very little room to twist the ratchet so it took quite a while to remove (and replace) the screws holding the resistor inside the motor housing.
