I purchased this for the library that I'm currently building and when I got this it was so much more beautiful than I expected it to be and so much more sturdy than I expected it to be so I highly recommend this purchase.

Not only was delivery date bumped twice and I had to wait almost 2 weeks, I could not cancel the order until it was delivered and when I tried to put it together, the inner rods are so badly designed that they cause two bends in the overall rods. Absolute garbage! Don’t waste your money!

The curtain rods install like any other - in my case with concrete walls, I use a 3/16" hammer drill bit for the holes with different plastic anchors and the provided screws.I have a pretty big window, so I did use the extension rods provided, and this worked fine for the outermost rod with the decorative balls.For the inner rod however, the rod comes pre-assembled with one outer rod and one inner rod, with two different size end caps. If you need to use an extension rod, you'll end up with one inner rod and two outer rods on either side, but this means you end up with the other outer rod without an end cap and you don't use the inner rod end cap.We were disappointed and will probably end up using a different inner rod with the correct end caps.

We bought the gold color, and the finish did not disappoint. It is bright and a reasonable facsimile of gold. The finials are excellent, perhaps the best of any I've bought from Amazon or elsewhere of the six types of curtain rods we've bought the last few years. Excellent hardware quality. Mounting screws and drywall anchors included. After installing two sets of these, we decided to buy two more sets for another room, and will likely buy another four sets in the near future.

Overall, I like the look of this set. Particularly when paired with our curtains, it offers quite an appealing decor element. The end caps make a bit of a bold statement and the gold color suggests some elegance.Although we are presently just using one curtain, the double curtain set is my spouse's preference.I have a couple of issues with the design and installation, but nothing which suggests a need to look elsewhere. First, the brackets are not very forgiving if you fail to measure properly, the rods need to fit in a very precise spot. As the saying goes, "Measure twice, cut once." I measured many times and also tested with the rods in place for each segment. Second, if you look at my closeup, you can see that the screws used to tighten the rods in place are placed behind the rods. The reason for that is aesthetic, I get it, they don't create a visual blemish in the final look. However, for the installer, that means finding a small enough screwdriver to tighten them. For the inner rods, you need a specialty, angled one.The kit contains everything you need for installation. I did not use the included drywall anchors because I could drill one of the brackets into wood. I also did not use the extra rod extenders as our curtains just measured the standard 72 inches.In toto, the set is not as pricey as you might think, because the kit includes everything you need. A lot of sets have a lower base price but don't include all the installation equipment. To be sure, you are paying a bit for the enhanced look, so take a look at this and make sure it's something you want hanging in your room for years to come.
