I will list the steps I took to assemble this in case anyone needs some direction. There was nothing at all in the box to help assemble this. No instructions or even a photo. I just looked on the listing and put it together by the photo and thankfully it seems to be correct!Assembly aside, this is pretty decent overall. I am not sure how long the cardboard will hold up and that’s my only concern. It is thick and I think it will do ok. I definitely like the wooden “face” to dress it up. It looks cute. Good size for most cats. Gives them a nice, safe “hiding place” if they need or want one. I’m pretty happy with it.Get a photo pulled up so you can see what this should look like.Take out your plastic screws and use the silly plastic screwdriver to drive them into the cardboard through the holes in the wooden panels.Take the largest flat cardboard piece and line up the flat edge of the back wooden piece up to the edge and screw the 4 screws in to the holes.Flip the cardboard to the other edge.Take the front wooden piece with the cutouts and make sure the finished side is facing out and and attach the flat edge of this to the other edge of the cardboard.Take the smaller cardboard pieces and put one on one side, setting it on top of the bottom cardboard and between the wood pieces. Now screw the side pieces in with two screws on the front side and two on the backside.Repeat on the other side.Set the large, curved piece of cardboard on top and let it set between the top edges of the wood and sit on top of the side edges.Take the larger trim piece that goes on the back, make sure the finished side is facing IN this time so when you look at it from the front you see the finished side. As you are on the back and facing the unfinished wood, fit it into the grooves then secure it with 4 screws. Make sure you have everything lined up tight so it’s all together tightly.Take the last, smallest piece of wood and, with the finished side facing out, line it up in the grooves and attach that with 4 screws Making sure to hold it tightly together to avoid any gaps.Finally, tie the dangling Pom poms through the little holes above the front opening.Done.

Fairly easy to put together even though there was no instructions, very nice bed/scratcher but my cat isn’t interested in it unfortunately but really nice

It came in a HUGE box with a box inside. There was assembly required and there was at least half of the plastic screws broken and unusable. I had to leave a few spots without screws.

agree there should have been instructions. But thanks to previous reviewers' pictures and encouragement I put it together in just a few minutes.But the real review came from my cat who loves it!

This was a pleasant surprise. What seemed like it was going to be a typical cardboard scratcher has become one of our cats' favorite toys. It came in a box without any instructions, and not even a picture or drawing on the box. So you'll want to start by looking at the pictures online. It's super easy to put together - the "wooden" pieces are similar to the thin pieces you'd find on bookshelves. They're thin but sturdy enough to use for things like this. You put this together using white plastic screws which are screwed in using the included plastic tool.In the end, the top piece sits on top of the bottom piece, so while they're not attached with screws, they're sturdy enough for cats to sit on top. One of my cats is ~15 lbs and it held him easily. The smaller inside portion is fairly small, so only our smaller 8 lb cat would fit inside, while the other one looked inside but preferred to sit on top. The two white toys are tied to the opening but my cats haven't been very interested in them.There's cardboard on all sides for the cats to scratch, this includes the smaller sides. It will eventually wear down, and while you could remove the screws and add new cardboard, it would be difficult to find the exact sizes you would need to make it fit. Even if you don't use it long-term, this is still a super cute scratcher that most cats would enjoy. Recommended!

The Cardboard Cat House & Scratcher Bed is a fun addition for some cats, but it does require assembly. There are no instructions included in the listing or package, so here’s a guide for those assembling it:1. The bottom piece is the long, curved cardboard—curves should face the floor.2. The large “wood” piece with cutouts attaches to one of the long edges of the curved cardboard, with the decorative side facing away from the cardboard.3. Use a flat screwdriver or the included tool to install the anchors.4. Install the short cardboard pieces on each side of the long piece; landscape position.5. Match the wood piece that has a "bump" on each end with the remaining cardboard and install anchors.6. Install the last two pieces of wood on the back (I installed the back top wood piece with the decorative side facing the cardboard, as I am placing the back against a wall).7. Finally, use the holes in the front to string through the toys (you may need to finishing poking the cardboard holes out and can adjust the length of the strings by cutting them).One downside is that the assembly pieces did not exactly match the stock photos: the hardware was white instead of black, the entrance was on the left instead of the right, and the top cardboard piece was slightly too small. It would be better if the back piece was one solid piece for easier assembly. The top can be lifted off easily, as it’s not fully secured. The overall dimensions are — the top measures 15 7/8" x 10.25", the opening is 9.75" x 5.875", and the inside space is 19.5" x 10.25" x 7.875".

This item does not come with instructions. Returned it and reordered it thinking it was just left out of the order. Received the 2nd one and again it camewithout instructions .
