It was very light and seemed poorly made. It did not inspire confidence and I ended up returning it because I did not trust it to hold up for any serious riding

This is precisely the part I’ve been seeking! It fits my Giant road bike, it’s light weight yet sturdy, it’s the right colors AND it shortens the distance between my seat and handlebars by a good 2 inches from the stock piece my Giant came with. This has eliminated a great deal of back stress incurred by reaching too far to the handlebars.

I’m Leary if cheap mtn bike stems, because it if breaks, I’ll get hurt. And I ride hard with dirt jumps etc.The CNC work seems quality, the (multicolor / oil slick) finish looks great, and even the packaging was quality- indications of a quality product.
