About this item

  • If you are looking for a latching relay with power-off memory, then this module will be very suitable for you. Even if the power supply is turned off, the status of the output switch will not be affected in any way, it will remain in the state before the power was turned off.
  • This is a simple and practical latching relay module, which is very convenient to use. It can support both Normally Open and Normally Close. Two screw mounting holes are convenient for you to fix it on the wall or wooden board. Of course, you can also choose not to lock the screw. Compact plastic case and wires connects for easy mount.
  • Support three input control modes: 1, Use Set and Reset buttons on the module(No external control switch or signal is required). 2, External Set and Reset button(Support Momentary-action switch, but can't support Self-holding switch). 3, for Sink/NPN output controller.
  • Operating voltage version: DC 5V, 12V and 24V three versions selectable. Output switch DPST 1NO 1NC(Double Pole Single Throw, 1x Normally Open and 1x Normally Close ), rated current 8A/250VAC or 8A/30VDC (for one switch).

Did exactly what I needed it to. Took a minute to figure out best wiring, then.... Done.

The image clearly displays how this latching relay should work. This is from a manual that I found online. I submitted a return for the first one I ordered. Within the return window, the "replacement" arrived. Neither one of them work per the manual (https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91xPb3AaleL.pdf).If anyone has had success with this, I'd like to know. Otherwise, I would stay away from this item.

It's hard to find true latching relays. I used the 12v version to convert my Casablanca Inteli-Touch fans to Wi-Fi smart home controls. I needed a latching relay that would latch to either the forward or reverse motor winding and NEVER both. It would have been great if this module included Wi-Fi and Tuya but I needed an MHcozy switch for that. The MHcozy switch does a one second inch to either the blue lead or green lead on the relay module to toggle and set the fan direction wirelessly. It works great and is especially awesome for my master bedroom fan that is 14 feet high and would otherwise require a ladder to physically switch the fan blade direction. This would be a 5-star review except that one of the four I purchased was bad. It worked on my workbench and then failed almost right away after the fan was mounted. it latched permanently to one of the leads. This forced me to pull the fan down after I had just finished hanging it. The others have worked flawlessly for almost six months now. My only other complaint is that the trigger wires are a very small gauge. That's fine for a 12v signal but too small to work with comfortably and makes it difficult to attach wire nuts securely. Just a minor complaint though.

Simple & easy to use. Concise graphics on the item. Separate instructions (that are eventually lost) are not required.

This product can broken/faulty and didn’t come with hardware! Complete waste of money and time. DO NOT ORDER! It’s so disappointing that I wish I could give it 0 stars.

Draws no current after initial set-reset pulse. Keeps state even after supply power is removed. Draws 50 MA during momentary positive pulse. Small compact size. Works great.

Had to add a resistor transistor circuit to reverse the incoming trigger since it needs a negative trigger and I needed to use +5V. No biggie! Works well.

I just got done testing this guy and I was surprised to see no quiescent current. It requires 5V with 0.05 amps of current when you push the Set or Reset button or momentarily touch the Set or Reset signal wire to ground, but if you like the 5V connected it draws nothing, or at least less than 0.00 amps, which is the smallest significant digit I can read to on my PS and DMM.You can move the power source entirely and it will stay in the same state. In my application, I wish to leave the 5V connected all the time but not have it draw anything at all until a change is made, and 50mA of current for a brief moment is no big deal when a change is made. Exactly what I needed! While I'm not a fan of pigtail wires it's better than the cheap knock-off Phoenix block connectors any day. I can solder and heat shrink to it for a reliable connection!
