I've been buying DR strings for the last six months and have put them on almost every guitar that I own. I hadn't tried Hi-Beams yet and was looking for a new set of strings for my strat. I used a string tension calculator and figured the 11-50 set would be the most balanced tension wise, (I was wanting an easy time floating my tremolo) and they seem to be. They have a bright, wonderful sound and I expect they will maintain their crispness/newness like other DR strings.

Nice and bright and don't need to stretch too much. Great for the money....

I recently got an IYV that was meant to emulate a guitar known for it 'jangle.' Since that tone was for this guitar key I looked for the brightness these promise, and found it here to perfection.Too -- and the reason for this I do not understand -- they require little time to become stable. Tune 'em and they stay tuned -- even when fairly new.I cannot yet comment of their long-term durability. But other DR strings I used have been fine in that respect. If bright and solid is the electric tone you're looking for, Hi-Beams are just the thing!

DR strings are quality. Great sound. Easy to get right string for right spot on guitar with their pairings. Feel really nice and easy to play.

I bought these for a 3/4 scale guitar I gave to my grandson as a Christmas gift. The factory strings would not stay in tune. These, for the most part, did. I used a “locking winding” method. My biggest dislike was that there are two strings in each “individual” packaging. I usually change strings frequently and save the old strings in case one breaks. Double packaging makes this difficult.

First time purchase of these strings and I am impressed. To any beginners looking for new strings to experiment- "Bright" translates to louder and crisper. These strings will make your guitar stand out of a mix a bit more than standard strings. I put these on a PSR Custom 24 SE and they really helped balance out the darker tone of the guitar. These strings really 'buffed' up the drop D songs I like to play giving a fuller sound. But don't get me wrong- these are great for a wide variety of genres. More response and sustain than my (used to be) go-to Ernie Ball Super Slinkys. Above all- they keep their tone well and are CHEAP! My last set was Ernie Ball Paradigm SS and these are 1/3rd of the price and have already lasted longer!I am going to try out a few other sets DR brand strings since these worked out so well.

I really wish these strings were more widely available. They seem pretty hard to get these days. They have a similar feel to the DR Tite Fits, but a tad more stiff (due to the hex core). However, the wound strings are noticeably brighter which I enjoy immensely. These strings were my go to "Live Performance String" for a long time until I couldn't find them anymore. Also due to the Hex Core, you don't have to worry about your stringing method to avoid intonation issues like you have to on round-core strings. Just like the Tite Fits, these strings survive my skin chemistry better than any other brand on the market which means I get the longest life with these strings without having to use coated strings. These strings have a wonderful zing to them that I have trouble finding in other strings. I'd say they sound similar to brand new EB strings (nice, crisp, and bright), but I get about 3-4 times the life out of these strings and they break in to a great tone, with great bend-ability, and some of the best tuning stability I have come across! All these factors combine to put it right in my favorites list of all time favorite strings.

The DR Hi-Beam 10-52's work great for my style. They have a lot of energy, they sound balanced across the set, and they keep their full tonal range longer than most other strings. I don't think I've ever broken one, and I tend to play a little hard at some points when I'm into a song.I use DR Strings on my electrics as well (10-46 nickel wrap,) and will not use another brand of string unless it's an emergency.
