On my GE Opal 2.0 with a side tank it works well. I cut the hose in half and connected one to the hose on the back of the machine and the other to the end that goes to the side tank. Then placed the ends into the sink. The tubing is exactly the same type as what’s on the machine. Same hardness and same diameter.Pro tip: when done using, disconnect the hoses, rinse it thoroughly by flushing clean water through it. Then grab both ends and swing them overhead like a lasso to force any water out of them. Then hang dry. Might want to do it outside so the spouse doesn’t roll their eyes at you. 😁. Failure to dry them properly could lead to nasty mold growth.

I used this kit to replace all of the hoses on the inside of my opal. My opal is several years old and in spite of my exclusive use of RO water, i had a thick layer of scale built up inside of the ice maker. This kit has plenty of hose to replace everything inside the ice maker. Just be careful to document what goes where and how the springs go together.

We found ourselves always having to pick up and move our Opal for cleaning... I'd thought about grabbing some hosing from a supply store but never got around to it. So, when I saw this come available I grabbed it quickly. The Opal is my wife's baby and she is beyond happy that with this extension kit she doesn't have to move the machine around to clean it. Saved me a trip to the store so I'm happy too!

Excellent extender hoses for opal2 ice maker.Bought 2 as needed all 6 feet to get to my sink and make drainage extremely easy now.Highly recommend this tubing and joiner
