This is definitely one of those "better to have it an not need it, than to need it and not have it" kind of things for any home owner. It will cost you a couple hundred dollars to have someone bring this to your house and use it for you or you could have it sitting in your garage waiting for a plugged drain. This snake is easy to use (even easier with a drill but not necessary) seems plenty robust in my testing. It is a plastic shell so might not be professional 3 times a day use but depending on how many people with long hair in your house or kids using too much TP and who knows what else accidentally goes down a drain once a year or less is probably a high count but owning the snake is way cheaper than hiring a plumber. I do recommend checking where your line cleanout before your home drains head to the city connection is and making sure you get a long enough snake for that just in case. The included carry bag and disposable gloves are great touches too.

This product is amazing. I didn't know whether to get 25 or 50 feet but the 25 is just perfect and I just tried it on my toilet to test it out and it's so simple a kid can do it. No more plungers for me, they don't work and make a mess. I can't tell you how many times I have gotten water, sometimes dirty water, all over the place and it is really gross. If you can't unclog your toilet with 25 feet you have a real problem. This comes in a really nice bag for storage as well and is very beefy. It's made of plastic but of very high end quality. There is not fear of breaking this easily. Highly recommend!

Functions as should feels decently made way easier to use than manual versions would recommend for that alone

I have no extant problem to test this snake, but I did run through some basics. The 25-foot length is fine for my home; 50 feet seemed like overkill. The snake extends with a functional drill attachment, and that works great. In general, it just feels and functions solidly. If and when I have cause to use the snake "for real," I'll update this review.

I got this drain snake to replace a recently broken name brand model that I bought at the Home Depot, which I used for just over three years. I see that the product is around $40 now, and if you want a model that has a power tool attachment, it is a $10 upcharge. Now this Meisterfaktur, 50' snake is way easier to use, way better (sturdier) constructed, higher quality than the outgoing one, and you can use it with your favorite power drill. The lever to hold the snake in place while you drive it forward makes this an incredibly easy tool to use. On my previous one I had to grip the handle while turning its body, and as you see in the picture it was not built to last. The manual operation of the Meisterfaktur was so easy I did not need to attach it to a power tool at all. It handled both of my bathroom sinks that were completely and thoroughly clogged with utter ease. It even includes a pair of long rubber gloves, which was above and beyond!I am completely sold on this product.

This drain auger feels like the real deal! I have another, manual auger that feels very cheap compared to this one. This auger is made from hard, thick plastic and feels hefty and durable. It operates very smoothly whether hand cranking it or using a drill (which is its best feature!). It comes with a quality carrying bag and gloves to help clean your hands clean. At 50 ft I may have gone overboard but better safe than sorry!

Very handy. My son showed me how to use it and it's nice to have on hand. Would make a nice gift for that guy in your life.

This drain auger is very impressive. It is very rugged and much more substantial than any auger I have bought from a big box store. It just feels like a tool, not a toy. You can use it with a drill or with the manual handle. It has a lever that you put up or down depending if you want it to autofeed or if you want to feed it yourself. The auger end is nicely shaped and it found it's way around my sink p-trap very easily and deep into our kitchen sink drain pipe. You can autofeed either way, or, with the lever toggled, you can pull the auger out by hand and it self coils inside the case as you feed it in. It comes with a nice nylon bag with string pull closures, for storage. And it comes with a pretty nice pair of latex gloves as well. Very impressed with this tool.
