Plastic it's so weak that it can't hold the bit in the designated slot. Holding a drill with one hand and a bit with the other it's easily able to skip into the other smaller or larger bit slot which will Burr the edge of the bit. Also the grinding wheel is not wide enough for the classic opening which let's the corner of the drill bit blade gamma with the corner of the grinding bit also damaging your drill bit. The plastic quality is cheap. The grinding drums also were very fast

I bought to give as gifts but will not be giving them out. Tried one out. The wheel is out of round. There is a piece of plastic at the bottom that prevents you from holding or turning any but a very long bit. I thought it might be handy for a quick touch up and to have in your toolbox. Wrong!

Returning these. They dull bits rather than sharpening them.1. The metal shafts are bent and cause the grinding cylinder/wheel to wobble very much.2. Since the metal shafts are bent, the whole apparatus wobbles and vibrates.3. The grindind cylinders/wheels are made of a very soft compound and dish out immediately causing the drill bits to be curved on the primary edges and of course on the relief cuts as well. This also ruins the chisel edge and the normal 118 degree angle (59 degrees x 2) is a curve rather than a straight edge.4. Since the metal shafts are bent the shafts bind against the plastic and do not rotate smoothly but rather bind up as the shafts rotate.I can understand a defective product, but both items having the same exact problems means this is manufactured this way.Buyer BEWARE, do not buy these drill bit sharpeners.
