This product also restores performance and protects carburetors from performance-robbing deposits. Designed for the unique needs of classic vehicles, that spends much of their lives in storage between cruises and special events. The problem: ethanol corrosion in carbureted hot rods the use of ethanol in modern pump fuel increases the risk of carburetor and fuel system corrosion. Ethanol is hygroscopic, so it absorbs moisture. This moisture causes corrosion in both the fuel system and inside the engine. High levels of ethanol dilution in the motor oil can lead to increased moisture in the crankcase, therefore causing rust and other corrosion problems. Ethanol by itself is corrosive to components like carburetors. These problems are compounded by long term vehicle storage. Simply pour-in a bottle of Carb Defender with each fill-up, especially before extended storage periods.

Seems to work. I didnt have any leaking and a friwnd recomended this to keep it that way. Only time will tell.

I just recently restored the fuel system on my 1976 Datsun 280z complete with fuel tank cleaning, new fuel pump, new injectors, filter, regulator, and hoses....after doing all that work, gas prices shot through the roof and some stores are super limited on 100% gas so my original plan of running ethanol free gas came to a halt. I have been running this stuff with a higher octane fuel and things are staying clean and oxidation free so far.

It worked well treating the fuel against the ethanol dissolving the float in the carburetor. Returned to ethanol free fuel after this treatment.

Product is for protection against ethanol damage in fuel systems, -treat rate- is one bottle to 20 gallons, expensive compared to all others. Have had great luck with a product called "Storbilizer" by the KLOTZ brand, treats gallons for less money.Product works, just expensive in comparison.
