Best item I’ve bought for winter! Love the ease for sizing (ingenious), great temps and lightweight. Use your own battery pack but know it adds weight. I use it primarily for taking the pups for a walk when it’s chilly out. The only drawback is that the battery pack gets hot as it’s stored next to the built in heater coils. Would be better if the pocket for the battery pack was insulated somehow. If I’m going to wear it for an extended time, I don’t put it in the pocket.

Vest works really good. Used a lot so I washed it one time and followed the directions. After that vest won’t heat anymore.

I work 10 hours 6 days a week in construction and sometimes in subfreezing temps. This jacket is a little bulky and seems mostly designed as outerwear but once the side zippers are made a little tighter it allows it fit under my work shirt which helps trap the heat more. Best aspect is the adjustable sizes. easy to allow more room for extra layers or zip it closer to focus the heat where it is needed. Hood is effective and neck warming area helps greatly reduce heat loss.Going to buy these for the family as well

Edit2: I finally got to test the replacement vest in winter (Alaska). I'm not noticing any overheating or quick drop in my replacement. This vest is awesome! 5☆Edit: The vendor reached out to me personally for a refund. I'm using it to buy the vest again in the hopes the upper heating element was a one-time/vest issue. Also, if you live in a cold & humid place like I do, remove the hood and wear your puffy or soft shell over it. My soft shell was especially great for containing the heat at a lower setting + ensured no/minimal moisture gets to the vest. Now to just figure out how to get my soft shell pockets to slide into the vest pockets for warming my hands! I've never had to use hand warming packs- the vest heating elements are in a perfect spot for it.Look: I'm 5'5", 35"-27"-. Vest was large on me but not bad. I def wouldn't have someone smaller wear it. The zipper extension is a really cool idea. And it's pretty comfy to wear.Quality: Started out really great. But not long after, the neck and upper back stopped working. That was exactly where I needed heat so that's a big bummer. You hook up the battery via a wire in the vest but the pocket for the battery/wire is right under a heating pad so the battery is getting heated the whole time. I tested a few batteries, and they all got hot and drained really fast. I'm keeping the vest in hopes I can fix the upper heating somehow.I'd give this a 4 if the battery pocket didn't get so darn hot. (Still updated to 4 t to praise the vendor's customer service.)

So full disclosure, this was an impulse buy on Amazon prime day, I did not take the time to read the reviews or the description thoroughly and now here I am returning it. First off I completely misunderstood the battery pack situation. I thought that I could charge the vest at home and it would hold a charge on its own for a period of time and the battery pack would extend the life. That is not the case, it does not work unless you get a battery pack to hook up to it so right off the bat I had to make a second purchase. Since that was my own misunderstanding, I could overlook it, I still was excited to give the vest a chance. The vest itself is very good quality and it’s nice that it is adjustable in size however, there was no size that fit me just right, it was either too small and tight or too loose and baggy. I got the correct size battery pack that was recommended and it lasted maybe 45 minutes for me which was not enough to even get me through my son’s baseball practice, that was the tipping point for me and the point where I decided that it was no longer worth it, and I was sending it all back.
