I was skeptical of the installation of the adapter, but it turned out to be much easier than I anticipated. I did need to drill a new hole pattern to mount the adapter, but that was the hardest part. The hose connector was a little tricky to thread onto the exhaust hose, but once on, it held with no problems. If you are tired of having your dryer hose blow hot air and lint into your laundry room, this is the kit for you!

This dryer vent hose supports 4" hoses which is perfect for getting a clean locked look for your dryer hose.What's nice is you don't need to fumble on whether the hose is snug as you can prep the hose before inserting it into the hole. I brought out another one just to show the thread difference on the inner hoseThe one on the lower right has multiple threads and ensures your foil hose or flex hose is all the way in. The one that came with this kit is limited to 1 - 2 revolutions at most.Still a good kit but a nice to have. It comes with a rubber gromet on the part that goes in the wall too.

Looks clean on the wall. I did not install it myself; I had a handyman doing some remodeling for me and installed this in my new bathroom! Either he lost a part of it, or a part was missing from the box when it was shipped; there is no way to know which. I ordered a whole new kit to finish the installation. He did not report any other issues installing this item. But he had to use duct tape to attach the hose to the ring that was supposed to screw onto the wall plate. He used fancy silver metal tape, which looked nice. I had to move the machine out, and it ripped off; it is now attached with some purple duct tape; luckily, it is behind the machine, and you don’t see it. Perhaps my problems with this are because he used the rigid metal vent hose but it pops off the wall plate when you move the machine. Perhaps if the more flexible type of hose was used, that would not be an issue. Because I don’t know if these issues I have with this are my own fault, I only dropped one star; it is a neat and handy item if it works properly.

Our old house had the laundry connections in the basement, so the dryer vent connection was kinda old school with the long duct and all the screws and sometimes tape, etc. Our new house has the laundry on the 1st level and the vent duct is super short. Great thing, but the downside is that the connector is a headache to get back together when you need to pull the dryer away from the wall. So, I got this one and it is the perfect solution! It's very simple to install - just a few screws, and a twist to connect mechanism WOW, it's what I've been looking for because it allows me to easily unhook it to clean or do repairs, but also allows me to easily put it back in place!!! Time saver for real - Thank you for making this, I'll probably get one for my mom too.
