Huge fan of Duncan. My first yoyo was a Duncan. Was super excited from all the reviews and stories about this yoyo. The yoyo became responsive after a day. I cleaned the bearing out multiple times. Come to find out the bearing seat was severely scraped up and damaged. Asked for a replacement. The replacement became responsive immediately. Tried using a different bearing because I really wanted to keep the yo-yo. It was still responsive. Cleaned the pads out with alcohol the best that I can. Still no luck. Yoyo came back up to me unexpectedly and broke my ring into pieces (it came up really fast and hard, glad it wasn’t a tooth!) Sucks because I LOVED how this yoyo felt and looked. But it just didn’t work out for me. I ended up getting my refund. I don’t know who is in charge of the quality with these yo-yos but they should not have made it past inspection. Very disappointed saddened by this experience

One of my favorite yoyos of all time. I have yoyos that are well over a hundred dollars and still find myself coming back to this one. The company said it best, if its not duncan its not a yoyo

Snagged this one on a sale, adding to the collection of signature yoyos I own! I wasn't thinking it was worth paying it for the original price though, but glad I did get it on a sale cause it plays great anyway and that's a bonus 😁 not really fond of the shape, but can manage with it. I don't use it as an everyday carry or beater yoyo cause it's only one of the few Duncan's I own but if had it been the only one I got, it's a good EDC. I don't do fingerspins yet, but looking at the cup shape and that thingy in the middle, this is definitely not recommended for that type of trick.

As someone who has recently gotten back into yoyo-ing, from the days when the Butterfly and Imperial were Duncan staples, this is an incredible upgrade, even comparing with other modern yoyos of today. It has a good weight to it, so you have wonderful spin times and control, but not too hefty that it causes return problems. It is an unresponsive yoyo, which means you have to learn a bind technique to get it to come back, but it's pretty easy once you get the hang of it, and it gives you a wider potential for tricks. I've picked up a lot of modern yoyos since coming back, and this is definitely one of my new favorites. I can pump out move after move and even when I think it's slowing down a lot, it will snap right back at the bind. It's truly impressive, plus the splash design and barracuda are just awesome aesthetically, and it's great to see that Duncan still has an excellent product, and has evolved well. Highly recommended!

First of all it is important to say...THIS IS NOT A RESPONSIVE YOYO. It does NOT come back up by pulling. You need to learn how to do a bind trick to wind the string up. Please do research before buying.Secondly...Arrived in great condition. Did NOT break with use.Third...GREAY YOYO!!! Well balanced. Great hang time when tossing out of a trapeze, cool sound, and an awesome splash finish. It is ok for grinds, but you will either need a glove or fingernail to do fingerspins or DNA.Good weight, but a little chunky. You definitely feel it in the string hits, BUT that is a good thing for free hand/counterweight yoyo-ing.Overall 8 out of 10. Awesome cheaper yoyo, worth the purchase, and its duncan so you can count on some quality. Don't know what the one star reviews are on about.
