This was so simple to install. I needed it to plug it extension cords for feral outdoor cat houses. And the electric stays on even if the light bulb is off.

This light is great for grills too. I only have 1 outdoor plug on an older farm house so to many time I have to have several extension cords strung all over the yard and my pellet grill was no exception. I have my new smoker under this light and the plug reaches the GFI perfectly. Christmas now I can string the light in both directions from the light without having to have cords running all up the side of the house. Easy to install and it aesthetically pleasing as well

I bought 2 of these. One for the front porch and another for the side house door. Easy to install. Having a plug is perfect for connecting Christmas light or gardening equipment. Overall, happy with purchase.

This would be five stars except that the lamp as it is attached to the large base/box (containing the outlet) is slightly off/crooked. So if the base is square and level, the lamp is slightly tilted. I bought two and both of them are this way. There is no way to straighten it without damaging the entire assembly. If I find time I'll add a photo to this review. I chose to have the lamp straight and the base slightly off. It is minor but could be a disappointment in some installation scenarios where the tilt could be visually obvious.Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this porch light. The light sensor works well (kit comes with a cover for the sensor if you don't want to use that function). Construction is sturdy and when properly mounted, the outlet is easy to use. Beware if mounting this close to the left of a thick door frame - the outlet cover needs clearance to swing out/up when opening. Brick molding in my case was too close with one of the lights, so I removed the cover since the lamp is on an enclosed and covered porch area.The outlet is the shining star with this item. Two places to plug things in has already been more convenient than I expected. Shop vac, leaf blower, work light, extension cord for an outdoor party, etc. Brilliant!
