Replaced the deck spring with one of these since mine was 10 years old. Nice replacement and worked as designed and very heavy duty. I think these will last another 10 years!

After opening the package and seeing the springs I was skeptical as these springs looked a lot heftier than the original but I wasn't sure as I had put a spring I had laying around on it years ago. I installed it first on the pully end and it was nearly impossible to stretch it out enough to hook it onto the welded end on the deck. I ran some bailing wire around the open end and then looped it around a rounded pry bar that I had and anchored it behind the front wheel of the deck which made a nice leverage spot to stretch it out and maneuvered it onto the anchored retainer end. It works great! nice and tight and no more throwing the belt while mowing. Remember, the spindles are high RPM's, it's SUPPOSED to be tight.
