I don’t remember how the OEM part felt but it doesn’t feel the same I think it may be thinner but I can’t say for sure.This product nonetheless, fits and works just fine in my 2013 Chevy Silverado 1500. And it’s a great deal too! It has been a month and a half of use and it hasn’t broke yet.

Has a stiffer feel than oem when openening lid which I don’t like. Maybe it needs to be broken in idk. Finish is different although not noticeable when installed. Great replacement for the money though and easy install. Good quality
