No installation tips in the box, even a cartoon drawing would be handy. The rod that comes in this kit goes across to the opposite side (threaded on each end), you do need a rubber mallet to get it where it needs to be. Don’t forget your horn. If you slide it into the rod, it will still be dangling kinda needs some zip ties to further secure it. I’m just getting back to riding after 15 years of Not riding. Yes, I dropped my bike One time so far. These guards saved from high dollar damage. However; hopefully the creator of these will take note; the top loops/bars need to be a little larger. Low profile looks nice but purpose is more important! These supposed to fit both 300/500 rebels & there’s two mounting holes for engine mounting. I want to say the top holes for the 300 and bottom holes for the 500. Also Note; need that rubber mallet again to get those two pipes together in front of radiator area. These are a nice matte black. Easy to match with all in one Krylon spray paint - that you’re going to need after you drop your bike & scratch one (or both) sides up. Just dremel sand & buff the scratches, tape some plastic or cardboard & spray paint it to looking new again. One drop and nothing moved or bent or broken or needed replacing (maybe if you have them stock levers the ball breaks off). I had alternative short levers already, just scratched & repainted. Anyways just hope the manufacturer gets the note about the outer loops/bars being larger. I know people have returned these just to get larger guards that can dual purpose as highway pegs & fog light mounts & freaking cup holder as well. If you increase the size, I’d like another set of these as well. Thanks.

What a nightmare! When I think that I got it lined up and fitted, the last bolt won't line up. I've spent an hour and a half trying to get this to fit. Even had to buy a breaker bar to get the bolts loose. Impossible to get the 2 bolts on at the top, I am livid that it scratched my frame all up and now I am just going to return this POS.Don't waste your time and money with this

Good fit, however, came with no instructions. Had to find a video on YouTube but after that, it was a 20 minute assembly.

Perfect fit for Rebel 300. All parts were included, took maybe 15 minutes to install. I didn't even take the cover off the bike.No instructions were included, but unless your school bus had only 4 seats, you can figure it out.Highly recommend.

I purchased this for my 2018 Rebel 300 ABS. Flawless install, and took me probably 15min max.I have seen negative reviews due to no instructions so I’ll add some. Will try to edit the review with some pics later.1. Remove stock bottom bolt with 14mm wrench/socket. Take nut off and remove bolt entirely. (Nothing should move/fall out at all when this is removed.)2. Insert supplied rod threaded on both ends through the hole.3. Slide crash bars over new threaded rod (I used the top hole on the crash bar bracket) and at the same time line up the bar in front of rad and guide together.4. Install supplied locknut on either end of threaded rod and leave loose for fitment to allow everything else to line up easily.5. Install 2 of supplied half blocks around the frame tube and secure crash bar to frame at crash bar upper bracket location using the supplied allen head bolts (Note one block half is threaded and one is not, one of each is needed per side) and tighten down. Repeat on opposite side.6. Now go back to the threaded rod at the bottom and tighten down evenly with a 15mm wrench/socket. (A wrench on both ends works best here because clearance is tight for a ratchet and socket.)7. Lastly install the supplied small set screw in the bar in front of the rad and snug it up with allen key.Hope this helps.

On the right side where the bar attaches to the frame at the top there is not room for the clamp. The engine (500) is too close to the frame. So I left out one of the aluminum blocks and made it fit but the bolt head touches the valve cover. Cant tighten that bolt at all. I got it tight but I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night.

Fit my 2023 Rebel 300 just fine. Took about 20 minutes to install. Looks good. Didn’t see anything wrong with the craftsmanship that would warrant a negative review considering the price.

Only good thing about it is the bars were fully painted everything else is an engineering abortion. It sits WAYYY to high on the bike all the nuts and bolts provided will rust easily. Nothing lined up accurately. The bars were bent wrong so they can't even fully seat into each other. There's no place for the horn to get reattached and absolutely no instructions. The top screws are too long and even so I could not get them tight enough for it to not move on the bar so say bye bye to it in a crash. If anything it adds an extra hazard and damage to everything. If I haven't mentioned it yet there are absolutely no instructions so maybe I'm supposed to bend bars and make other modifications for this to work properly but I'm not convinced it would even be worth it to make it actually work and be safe. Even for looks this is garbage. Nobody needs this much nonsense in their life.

It's a good way to protect your bike, only problem is that the is no instructions. We had to Google it, cause there was something we couldn't figure out.
I need to return some video tapes

Easy to put on. Decent quality. Threw some fog lights on the bars since I have more real estate to work with now.
