It is designed for vehicles with cable activated throttle and automatic transmission kickdown. The cable plate is made from steel and given a finish to match the Edelbrock Performer Series carburetors.

Have found no use for this part even though the Edelbrock carburetor instruction manual said it was for 289 and 302 manifolds. Where does it go and what does it do?

With an edelbrock intake I was not able to use this. There were no instructions included on how and where it mounts.
