Was damaged, but no outside damage to the box it was in. Must have been packed that way. Was given as a Christmas gift with a package of sea salt to go in it. How disappointing to see it was broken and embarrassing for me as it was a gift. Of course it was way past the return window. I am still trying to find a replacement for him.

I think out of the wood cellars this is the nicest one. The others had a splitting problem. This may end up splitting over time but the quality is good. It's nicely finished and requires no further sanding, oiling, etc. It's ready to go. The price is great. The only possible fault is that the interior space is small (exactly 2 5/8"). It's sufficient for a 3-fingered pinch but someone with larger hands may want more space.
