I got one of the more standard Kanoodle puzzles as a Christmas gift. It was so neat to be introduced to this creative puzzle brand, but I have to admit I'm not very good at those types of puzzles. This kind is more what I can do, with it being similar to sudoku puzzles. Yet, it's different enough that it still feels fresh and different from playing sudoku.A welcome feature of this game/puzzle is that it's self-contained, and everything stores inside. One side is for easier puzzles, and the other side is for more pieces/harder puzzles. The book this comes with has such a nice, quality feel to it, and is even stitched together. That was something that really struck me since the book is an important part of a puzzle game like this, but not always given as much attention as the game pieces. It tells you what pieces to build first, and then those are what are used, with some of them being pre-placed. I like that the extras fit inside the box/game, even while playing, if the smaller puzzle side is being used. There are some things puzzle players may find a bit frustrating.I find it hard to remember which puzzles I've completed. A suggestion is to take a scrap piece of paper, write down 1-100 on it, and then scribble off when you complete a puzzle. I did this and am using it for a bookmark. It also helps to keep the book open to the puzzle you're working on, because it can otherwise be challenging to remember which pieces aren't supposed to be moved. The pieces needing to snap together as you play (not just the starting pieces) may prove cumbersome for some. I've found I can kind of work around it, for the most part, and skip that step. But it might be nice if they connected in some other way, where the joins would not be in the way. Finally, at least with mine, the box does not close very well or tightly. I would like it even better with latches and a hinge.Despite these issues, I still really enjoy the game.

This is a pretty cool concept of sudoku. It comes with a nice storage container and a high quality thick booklet showing quite a number of puzzles that range from easy (4x4 cube) to hard (5x5 cube with fewer starting positions). The idea is that you complete it but only using each color once in each row.The reason I took 1 star off was that it is very hard for me to decipher some of the colors being color blind, they are not very distinct to me. They look different in the book vs the blocks but my wife doesn't think it's a problem. Also, the fact that they have to click together makes it a little difficult. I think it would be nicer if they were solid cubes that fit into slots or something like that. Aside from that, it's a good game

This is a fun little game and a good way to learn sudoku. You build a starting position and complete the puzzle like you would with a sudoku. You want one color and only one color for each row. The starting positions can be built on the carrying case that doubles as platform. One side is for building 4x4 puzzles and the other is 5x5 There are 100 starting positions included. This game may be a little to easy for avid sudkists because the hard puzzles are still only 5x5, compared to the 9x9 grid of a standard puzzle. The plastic pieces snap together well but they are sometimes a little awkward to get the nubs positioned correctly so everything fits well on the platform. Overall it is fun for learners and decent for the price.

Got this for our 5-year old grandson who's on the spectrum and gifted in math/patterns, and it's extremely well designed and thought out. The two halves of the case double as playing boards, it includes one of the best instruction "how to play" books I've ever run across, the playing cubes are colorful and interlock easily for a solid feel, and the whole thing is compact and easy to handle. Unfortunately, my wife (a former math teacher) went to "test it out" and has refused to part with it so we can send it to our grandson (although she says she'll be ready to part with it in a couple of days - we'll see.) I have to say I'm quite impressed with the quality of this game set. Hopefully I'll get to ship it off to him soon. Highly recommended.

I ordered this Kanoodle® SudoQube™ and I really like it! Two of my boys, ages 8 and 12, really like puzzle games, so I figured this game would be right up their alley. Since it was delivered, they've been taking turns playing it, and both enjoy playing it individually.I appreciate that all the puzzle pieces and the puzzle book fit into the box. It makes the game much more portable, even if it's just moving from bedroom to bedroom. I thought the game instructions were well-written and illustrated. There are plenty of puzzles of varying degrees of difficulty to provide players a challenge! The one quibble I have is that the QR code in the front of the book that you scan for the puzzle solutions wasn't working the times I tried it. Hopefully that's just a temporary technical glitch.I think this is a great game for kids (of all ages!) who enjoys solving puzzles. My boys really like it. I'm glad I ordered it.
