Using a POE switch I had on hand, I was able to power the EERO 6 POE and get it connected to my mesh network. The switch I used is available here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BQ6MP1HT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1You will ned to download the AMITRES IOT software (a scan code is on the back of the switch for Apple and Google Play). The software lets you control the switch and turn POE on or off for each of the 4 ports. My network speed going to the EERO 6 from an older wavlink access point went from 20mbps to 450mbps over the same cat6 cable.

Installation of this device is very easy. If we already have Gangbox with two screw holes, we can just screw on that. No need to drill the holes to the ceiling.

I have a long story and a half house its about 6,000sqft or so, made out of brick with a lot of plaster walls, etc. Internet has always been very difficult always been dead spots even with wireless Mesh EEROS. Last year I decided to throw the kitchen sink at the problem and I got a fiber modem and then built out a whole EERO system.I have an EERO 6E as the gateway, it has a 24 port switch plugged into it all rack mounted. All TV's, and work computers are hardwired now and run on LAN, even my garage beer TV is hardwired. I have a total of 7 EERO PoE AP's, an extender at far corner of house (for ring camera). I went with a Netgear PoE switch because it has more ports than the EERO one. Myself and a electrician (buddy of mine) ran all the CAT 6 cable, in 20 separate runs we used about 5,000 feet or so of wire. Every single item that didn't have to be wireless is hardwired, including my wife & I's work stations (both work at home). With AT&T Fiber internet it will consistently download at 900MBPS and Upload around 8-900MBPS even on WiFi.The system is a smidge overkill for a homeowner but every single spot in our house has full power WiFi, 10 wireless ring cameras and 2 PoE cameras also run off of it, can have 5 TVs playing 4K movies at once and it doesn't even blink.Wired backhaul even with the regular eeros will always get you the fastest & most reliable connection. A buddy of mine that does this for a living was the one who gave me the "While your at it, you want to hardwire everything you can." Our internet is so fast its insane, although it took $5,000 or so to do it, would I do it again? In a heartbeat!

I’m extremely happy with EERO mesh system. I can move around the house, inside and out, and my WiFi signal stays consistent on my wireless devices.

All around very good WAP. These Eero products are solid, reliable work horses but they aren’t nearly as fast as similar products. They tend to sacrifice speed for reliability and this is not a bad thing but there are competitor devices that can offer both.

I've an an Eero dork for years now, starting w/ their initial batch, and moving up w/ each iteration. Eventually I stumbled onto the eero PoE hardwired gateway, as I've been running new CAT 6e cabling to my previous Eero 6 Pros anyway. I added one of these wall-mounted access points, as it was included in a super special months back for only $49 extra with the gateway. Very happy with both. Only one cord coming into this little guy, which I had mounted on the wall, but will move to the ceiling soon (so no pics). Signal is great, throughput great, and my kids say the PS5 is running smoother than ever.

Installation was ridiculously simple as the house was set up for a PoE set up.For some reason the device would not set up when plugged into the PoE. I had to plug it in to the wall to set it up based on tech supports recommendation. It was added to the network. The network recognized it in the PoE configuration. For some reason devices would connect to wired eero's with weaker signals. The only way devices would connect to the PoE is if it was the only router.I ended up returning it.

Good product. I would have liked to wait for the 7 to be released, but so far no issues
