Very sturdy any goes hurtling through anything out under it. Maybe. I only used it once on an egg.

I make a lot of deviled eggs and when I would use a knife, the knife would have to be cleaned after each slice in order so the whites would not get yellow all through them. This works fantastic I get a perfect Half-slice with out dragging the yellow color through the white. And I do not have to wipe the yellow off with every slice.love it

This cuts eggs and other items (strawberries) several different ways so it is definitely a great gadget to have

PROS: THE PRODUCT DOES EXACTLY WHAT IT'S TITLED TO DO.CONS: I DON'T LIKE THE FACT THAT WHEN YOU CUT THE EGG,THERE'S NOTHING ATTACHED FOR IT TO FALL INTO. MAYBE IT SHOULD INCLUDE A SMALL BOWL CONNECTED TO IT, TO CATCH THE EGGS THAT FALL AFTER YOU CUT THEM. OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S LIKE I SAID IT DOES WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO.ADRIENNE

You can see how well the egg slicers work in the photo I posted. The egg sits nicely in the base, which has slots in it that the egg is up on so that the slicer goes cleanly through the entire egg. I cut the eggs top to bottom on all but the 9 wire slicer, which I cut with the egg on its side.
