Great for static electricity experiments. I was rather surprised by what combinations of rod and fabric generated the most electricity. Very fun!

Hard as serveral of us tried, couldn't get static electricity on glass rod. Probably because none of the included clothes are of a material that works on glass.

This rod kit works as expected. I bought this so I could do some electrostatics experiments with my son using the electroscope we built together. We created a matrix of rods vs. materials and mapped out the polarity each rod+material generated.The parts seem durable enough. This would probably work well in a classroom, however, there are better materials to generate more charge for a more obvious effect out there. Price is a little steep, but overall it worked as I expected.
