We purchased these when our door frames were damaged during hardwood flooring installation. They are very lightweight and smooth. No sanding is required. I used a brad nailer to install, then used spackle to cover the edges and nail holes. It blends perfectly with my existing frame. Just be sure your widths are the same... the length is easily trimmed off.
