Oh dear. Well I gave it a full charge which was 99% as displayed on the unit. Decided to use it today on two cans. After a couple of attempts to get the opener seated properly it began. I was surprised to see the unit lift its rear-end as it worked it's way around the can. It decided to go around twice and there was some sort of countdown display in the led. At the conclusion of the spin around the can, it lowered the rear-end and disengaged. Lovely. I was hopeful. Then I tried to remove the lid. Not happening. I tried to use the included prying tool. Nope. I put the opener on again for another spin. After that, with a certain amount of effort using the prying tool the lid released. Hooray. Now to can #2. Position opener, push button and we experienced 4 false starts requiring repositioning to different parts of the lid. This can took 3 different spins to get the can to agree to let loose of its lid, also requiring the handy dandy prying tool.I am thinking my experience indicates possibly why this chargeable electric can opener is 40% off from I think $49. Was it worth the $29 I paid? Probably not. I am usually not in a hurry to cook and I don't have much of a life so having to put an effort into learning about this gizmo is not a big deal. I do tend to like a challenge.

I completely charged it when I removed it from the box. First time I used it, it circled the can and shut off. Lid was still on. Tried several more times, but it was making no dent in the lid and power was down to 80%. I tried, pressing down on it until I couldn't resist the unit lifting. THAT removed the lid, but then the lid was stuck between the gear and the blade. No sharp edge, so I bent the lid enough to work it from between them. Now I cannot get the gear and blade separated and it will no turn on. What should I do?

We tried to open a can of dog food but it didnโt open the can. Luckily we still had our manual opener.

Took it out of the box. read directions. Tried to open 4 different cans and id did not open any that you could get the lid lifted. Put them on my old countertop hamilton beech and they came right off. My HB has earned its place on my countertop. Sent back for refund.

I absolutely love this can opener. So easy to use. You donโt have to worry about cutting yourself. It works without you holding it. Opens cans very easily. And fast charging.

Worst $30 Iโve ever spent!!! Got stuck on the very first can I tried to open. Tried and tried to get it off the can spilling half the contents of the can all over my counter. Left it in the sink for my husband to try and he couldnโt get it off so we had to throw it away. Literally threw away $30
