For years, we tried outdoor composting but it became too time consuming and no one wanted to go outside in the winter. This on a sale so decided to give it a try. After a month of use, these are the features I like:+easy to use+self-sensing+relatively fast, the longest cycle was 6 hours+minimal smell (ideally I’d store it in the garage but it’s on a different floor from the kitchen)+compact size (about the size of a breadmaker)I am not yet sure how it will affect my electricity bill so I will be keeping an eye on that. I generally don’t have to run it daily, usually a couple times a week except on fridge cleanout days. The machine is so powerful and efficient, the composted soil is not a large amount. I’ve been filling a HD bucket and, after a month, it’s still not full. But a larger bin would mean a larger machine so it’s the right balance.

So far, I have used twice. The results are abso-freaking-lutely amazing. I hope it continues to provide the results from the first two uses. I have added newspaper, paper towels, potato peels, lettuce, carrot peels, banana peels, pieces of cucumbers, flower heads, veggie scraps. Filled the bucket to just below the rim and set on auto. The machine runs quietly (much less noise than i expected, just some clicking over the course of the cycle.Once cooled down, the remaining composted material was dry, shredded brown fibers. A bucket of material resulted in about 1.5-2 cups of dry composted material (capacity). No Smell. Device is sleek and nice looking. If it continues to work, it will be well worth the price. Cleaning the pot was easy, just some dried material on the "arms" that needed scrubbing with brush.Update: 3/12. After using several times I do have a few comments to make. 1) it’s working better than I expected and I previously commented that the “dry” composted material seemed to get stuck at the metal bars attached to the container. This continues to be the case (I let it cool down then pour out the compost). After each use I clean with soap and water at sink, but last time I filled with water and used the “clean” cycle. That did take care of most of the dried residue stuck at the metal bars, but I still had to scrub a bit. Tonight I added vegetable peelings, lettuce, used tea bags (shredded open) and torn pieces of paper towels and the machine is talking to us.🥴 it’s squeaking …I can only imagine that something is scraping as the arm turns each 360 degrees. Hmmm…. Hope it’s not a problem. A suggested improvement on design: make it so both the arms could be removed, the screws holding the silver bars is where dried material seems to get stuck. Also the machine I have doesn’t seem to “lock” shut tightly when the lid is closed. But ultimately, I like it.Update 3/15. Today I more clunking and “scraping sounds”. I only have carrot top greens (small stems about 1/2 inch long) and shredded paper towels in the basket☹️ could be a misalignment with the moving black armature? I noticed some damage on the bar and am trying to contact company, but cannot find any contact info. Stay tuned…3/15 here are two pictures of the damaged armature. The black has been scraped off on one side (1st photo) and even on the other sides, some of the black looks like it’s scraped off as well. I spoke with Amazon rep and described problem—they will take back myMachine and replace with another one. Repwas very helpful and responded with solution right away (gotta say I love Amazon forThis reason—no hassle when an issue arises). Bottom line I like the machine and if the replacement works I’ll be a happy camper😏
