I like how fast these release and bought three to use on cellular controlled hog trap gates. Testing these at home went fine but in use my system would power for a couple seconds and that was more than the unit could take. If you use these I would suggest installing a small digital timer inline as these are spec'ed to only receive power for 0.02 seconds. They work with a solenoid and if it stays engaged for any length of time, they will smoke. Good thing they where cheap. There are videos on YT that show how to use a $6 timer.

Worked super good for 2 uses and then it fried the internal battery! Didn’t even get it mounted to my son’s dirtbike start gate!

The push pull lever gets stuck inside the solenoid and won't move, even when I put pliers on it. By the time I buy the power supply, timer, and rewire the lock so it will reset after it opens, It's not a easy system to replace, so I'm not happy that it fails a few weeks after I start using it.

I made a Arduine based door system using this Lock. Lock is as simpple as it could be therefore I can rely on the function it seems to be very reliable and might work for a long time. I would give five stars both seller and item itself.I am sure to get more Locks in near future.

This cabinet locking device seems to be built well and works as intended. There were no instructions that showed the pin out for the four wires, but after taking it apart it's really simple to tell: The red and black are for 12vdc which unlocks the mechanism, and the white and yellow are connected to a limit switch that closes when the mechanism is in the locked state. This could be used to provide feedback so you know if the lock is actually locked or not.
