I mean of course it’s not, but I didn’t expect it to be. It isn’t bad as a toy, and sounds pretty good. And is absolutely portable if you fully charge beforehand. But the cymbal pads are not very responsive, and unfortunately they seem to be triggered even when not struck. The drums in the center of the pad are fun and sound okay but it’s frustrating when the cymbal triggers as I am hitting the drum. Maybe I just suck, and I do, but even just using my hands hitting the side of the drum triggers the cymbal. And the foot pedals for the bass and cymbal are WAY TOO STIFF and aren’t even worth using. I feel like they might break if I stomp them too hard as wellBut there multiple fun demos you can play along with if you like. It also has memory banks to save your own playing and even has piano tracks to play along with. There are also 5 or 6 different drum kits to choose from. And they all sound pretty good. This would be great for a kid wanting to learn about playing the drums, but might be frustrating for some older folks. It also says that it is midi compatible but I do not have a working computer to connect it to a DAW to test it out.

First, I'd like to apologize to my delivery driver - whoever packed this left the switch in the "on" position, and given the cymbals and beats I heard carrying the box into the house, I'm sure the driver got treated to quite a concert!I've always wanted to try playing the drums, but strictly for fun, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. I was thinking I'd get toy bongos or something, but this gives me what feels like a real drumming experience. I'm having a great time with it and actually learning a bit about drumming as well!

I dont know how to play the drums. But have always wanted to learn. Now do I think this mimics a real set of drums no not really. But for someone that wants to start to learn without spending a ton of money on a real set of drums. Then later find out they dont like it. This is a great place to start. It mimics a set of drums without the space requirements and cost. The drum sticks dont feel like the highest quality in my hands, they are a little rough and not very smooth. But again a good place to start. You can change the volume or even plug in headphones so you can practice without everyone else hearing it. Now i just need to find a good program to learn how to really play. Over all I am happy with this set and would requirement for someone just testing to see if they like drums or someone just playing around or dont have the room for a full set of drums.

I have been keeping my eye out for a drum kit midi controller, as I really want to start making my own background music for videos to avoid copyright issues, but I didn't want to invest a lot of money in case I didn't really care for the experience. This little kit is well priced to try out a midi controller...here's what I found:- build quality isn't great, especially on the non-pad parts like the main controller, and I don't have a lot of hope. the foot pedals will last. in my younger years I played electric guitar and had quite a few foot pedals, and of course have a piano style one for my keyboard...this isn't anything like those, and definitely feels like it was made for kids- the drum sticks are weirdly short, again reiterating that I think this was actually designed for kids more than anything- the onboard sounds are kinda bad...I won't ever use them because its kinda hard to get past just how bad they sound- where this starts to shine a little is as a midi controller. the small size is perfect for sitting on your desk, and if you prefer there is a bass drum pad so you don't have to use pedal at all if you don't want to, though many of the kits I tried with my music software had unique cymbals on the other pedal which were not available on the pad. you could take the time to remap, but I really don't feel that is necessary for me- the sensitivity is pretty decent...there is definitely a threshold where it drops you if you are trying pianissississimo...but I mean this isn't high dollar gear, and you can adjust volumes in your software, so it is what it is- the manual is not great, you'll be sorting most of it out on your own, but honestly this is a pretty simple machineSo...overall...I think this is priced where it ought to be given the entry level nature of it, and build quality. but it is a great tool for a beginner without having to invest a lot of money, and as long as you look at it in those terms, I think I could still recommend it. great for a little home music studio if you want the feel and motion of drums without having to resort to using your keyboard.

This is a fun drum set to cure boredom or learn how to drum a little. It's not exactly a professional feel, so I'll classify it as a toy that's suitable for all ages.
