I have 3 of the 5 EV series speakers in our array of PA systems. I wanted a set of their 'best' for high end shows. This speaker sounds good at lower volumes but shuts down when pushed hard. NO WAY is this thing 2000 watts! It does NOT have a fan so it relies on the woofer to 'move air' but it is not sufficient in an ambient hot location.The speaker also emits an odd odor similar to band aids (as weird as that sounds) when warm. It is still functioning after 1 year - but for the money, I prefer the newer lower end models. I can get a couple of them for the price of one of these. In addition - this is the HEAVIEST powered 10" speaker we've ever owned! It may have been their best - but I think Yorkville or RCF is a better bet at a slightly lower cost and more features.PS - DO not buy the used warehouse deals ones! They've been returned for a reason!
