About this item

  • OVERVIEW: RadiArmor's Anti-Radiation Laptop and Surface Pad is lined with our silver and copper EMF blocking liner that blocks over 99% of high frequency RF (radio field), microwave and electric field radiation commonly associated with devices that use WiFi or cellular networks such as laptops and tablets.
  • LAB TESTED: Our EMF blocking is lab tested and verified by a third-party source to block over 99 percent of high frequency RF, millimeter, and microwave frequencies (up for 40Ghz). By using highly conductive metals like copper, this shielding efficacy is achieved in a lightweight package. Total weight of this laptop pad is under 1 pound (445 grams).
  • QUALITY CRAFTSMANSHIP: Premium vegan leather offers a non-slip surface for your laptop or tablet hybrid that is durable, stylish and easy to keep clean.
  • MULTI PURPOSE: Comfortably use a tablet hybrid such as a Microsoft Surface or an iPad with a keyboard on your lap. For Microsoft Surface, simply position the pad vertically for ample space to adjust your viewing angle.
  • SIZE MATTERS: Measuring 40 cm by 30 cm (16.75 inches by 12 inches) our EMF blocking laptop pad is large enough to support most laptop and tablet hybrids, yet small and light enough to place on your lap.

ABOUT US

As a leader in EMF protection and cell phone radiation shielding, RadiArmor has been dedicated to helping people lower their EMF exposure based on scientific principles and the latest technology. From our classic air-tube headphones to cases and canopies, all our products are based on scientific research and tested by a certified and independent laboratory. Our focus is always on practical products that offer effective or real EMF reduction to you.

CLAIMED vs EFFECTIVE EMF REDUCTION

While many companies report how much EMF their material blocks, RadiArmor also reports the real reduction you can expect to receive. For example, some companies put a small piece of EMF blocking material in a pendant or sticker and claim 99% reduction. While technically true, this is referring to the material itself, not the effective reduction you're likely to receive.

A waterproof sticker is not going to keep you dry in the rain. Similarly, if you put a sticker that blocks radiation on the back of your laptop, your effective reduction is still likely zero. To get real protection, the EMF blocking material must be between you and the source. At RadiArmor, we apply our EMF shielding material throughout the entire laptop pad for genuine reduction of over 99% for high frequency RF.

Testing Pad

TESTING YOUR LAPTOP PAD

Since many companies make unfounded or exaggerated claims, we're always happy when customers test our products. Getting started: There are many types of EMF. First, make sure that you are using an EMF reader that measures high-frequency RF (radio field) or microwave radiation measured in milliwatts (mW). This is the kind of EMF that is emitted from WiFi, cell phones, 5G, etc. This is also the kind of EMF that is most commonly associated with potential health risks according to studies. Next, when testing RF levels with and without the laptop pad, make sure that you are using WiFi or Bluetooth such as watching a video or streaming music. If you have any questions, please reach out to us. NOTE: This laptop pad does not block low-frequency magnetic fields commonly measured in milligauss (mG).

There is no 'silver and copper' liner in this. Just cardboard and a very thin yellow layer of what looks like fiberglass. It could be some sort of shielding fabric but it would need some sort of flexible metallic mesh and I don't see any kind of micro metal mesh here.Be aware that what's coming off the bottom of your laptop are very strong low-frequency magnetic fields of which this product states it does not block. It claims to block higher frequencies like wifi but very little of that emanates from the bottom on most laptop models as the antenna is at the top of the screen bezzel. Additionally, wifi is at a much lower power level than 4G/5G and people gladly hold that up to their head or in their pockets for hours on end.Looks like this is an expensive heat shield at best.

I was excited to try this out and have been using it both directly on my lap under the laptop, and on top of a pillow (i.e. pillow, radiarmor, laptop in that order), as well as on a desk or chair with a book, to create an angle that would still allow my laptop to vent.My current review is in regard to the chair with text book, and the inability for the laptop to vent (I would expect such things with a pillow.. dur.. only do that for so long :))So, I am disappointed that on this chair/textbook/radiarmor situation, the laptop is just getting way too hot. Its essentially a flat surface and I don't know what the issue is. The radiarmor is directly under the laptop, and my laptop vents are on the bottom (ok, a ridiculous and dumb design, but a lot of laptops are like this, right?) and the machine is just overheating.I think this radiarmor material just needs to be more breathable, and I am not sure if there is another EMS/heat protection shield out there that is more breathable for the laptop ventilation ...perhaps I will try Defendershield or something, but yeah, this project really isn't.I don't recommend anyone try and use this for basically...any surface. Even a flat desk. Basically if your laptop is sitting directly on this RadiArmor thing, it's just not going to get enough ventilation. At least with my laptop (Lenovo thinkpad)

This is top notch pad that genuinely blocks RF. I saw a review saying it did not block EMF, but the reviewer was heavily advertising another product, which seemed suspect. I just so happen to have the same EMF reader shown in the video, the Trifield TF2, so I figured I would test it myself. I was fully prepared to return it if it did not work as the manufacturer claims. There are 3 settings on the TF2: magnetic, electric and radio field (RF)/microwave. Of the three, I am most concerned about RF and microwave since that is what you get from WiFi, 5G, etcetera. Below are my results for each setting using my iPad Pro with a Smart Keyboard Folio:RF measured in milliwatts per meter squared (mW/m2): Nearly 95% blocked. I was blown away at the result as the pad is incredibly thin and light. I performed the same test with a 1-inch wooden cutting board and got no reduction. One major caveat with testing in this mode is to make sure you are streaming something such as music or video. If you have your iPad on airplane mode or not using WiFi or Bluetooth, then there is essential zero RF coming off the iPad, making any reduction comparison impossible.Low frequency magnetic measured in milligauss (mG): No change. This was a little disappointing since it blocked RF so effectively.Electric field measured in volts per meter V/m: Blocked over 75%. Initially, I could not find an electric field reading on my iPad, but then I tried plugging it into the charger, which gave a consistent reading right next to the plug in. While I am glad to know that this thing cuts electric fields, I never sit on the couch with my iPad plugged in so this does not matter much to me.Final Thoughts: I am happy with my purchase. I use my iPad Pro for everything, but the one drawback is that it is difficult to use with a keyboard on your lap. Now I can use my iPad like a laptop and work on the couch and be protected from RF radiation. It is not cheap so if you are not doing a lot of video or music streaming then you can probably forgo the RF protection and find something cheaper. For me, this exactly what I was looking for.

Product works well and its portable. It is sturdy and holds up my laptop wherever I am. Safety from EMF radiation is a plus! This was well worth the investment.

I purchased this item for my wife because she is constantly working on her laptop on her lap. While I am not sure what effect her consistent exposure will have, I prefer to give her something that will reduce the radiation exposure, and give me some peace of mind. This pad seems to be well constructed and sturdy. It seems to fit most laptop sizes. However, if you like using a mouse instead of the trackpad, there isn't much room for a mouse on the pad itself. After using the pad for a while, I could also feel some heat on my lap, but I don't think its intended to block that. Overall, product is as advertised.
