Why you Need This Tool

The fuel rail and injector assembly used on the Hitachi SIDI system on 2010 LF1 3.6L V6 and LAF 2.0L ECOTEC has two seals on each injector, and these seals are installed with very tight tolerances. Once the engine has been run, injector and rail removal is very difficult.

Prevent Damage

The injector and rail assembly must be removed as straight as possible to prevent the chance of damaging an injector bore in the cylinder head, or to the mount assembly.

Easier Work

This EN-49248 installs in place of the mounting bolts, and reaches under the injector rail near each mount location. The hand wheels on EN-49248 at each mount location are tightened evenly to un-seat all injectors evenly.

Was pulling the injector rail on my 2014 Silverado 4.3 with 2500000 miles on itTried for hours with pry bars, wood blocks as fulcrums couldn’t get the rear most injector to budge.Ordered this tool and it works like a charm. The bolt that goes into the blocks bend a little under the load however once load was removed it was straight (did not yield)A couple tips for using. 1. I put anti seize compound on all the threads; will prevent binding/galling and make overall operation smoother. 2. Go slowly and evenly. I would tighten tool until they were under a good load then gently use the prybar on both ends of the rail, then tighten again and repeat. The first 3 or four inches come up are very slow. If you just crank down all the way and try to rush it you will probably bend the tool.

It bent out of shape before it removed anything.

The studs that screw into the block are not fully threaded, so I had difficulty getting the hooks around the injector rail. I ended up drilling out the holes where the studs go and using some 100mm long bolts and nuts in place of the studs. Then I was able to pull the rail easily enough.

It not a perfect tool, didn't totally release the rails and injectors without a great deal of additional prying with other tools

Wasn't compatible with chevy silverafo because you can physically remove the screw from the fuel rail. GM design.

Needed this tool to remove the fuel rail on a 3.6 direct injection GM engine. Needed to remove the fuel rail to replace the injectors. It was a little confusing since it comes with 2 types of hooks. Once I figured out which ones to use, it worked well.
