EDIT: after I posted my review, the seller contacted me and offered me a refund. I followed the instructions and accepted.Then, instead of processing that, they changed it and messaged me to say they'd send me a replacement charger. WTH.Except, I already wasted two weeks with this. I had to return the used drill I had bought this charger for bcz I was stuck needing to a drill to finish my steps/deck project. I bought a different brand drill with that store credit...and, to add, I DONT NEED ANOTHER BROKEN CHARGER, let alone from a brand of drill I now had to return.You sold me junk, offered to refund me ..then went back on your offer and instead offered a replacement I TOLD you I didn't need anymore.Plugged it in, and nothing happened. Put in the battery -- nothing happened. Tried it on 3 different working plugs in the house, checked that the cord wasn't loose... Nothing.And I will have to drive 50mi round trip to return it -- no local way to return. Total ripoff .

My old Dewalt charger died. While the tools they went with are old technology and heavy, I wasn’t ready to throw them away. But I wasn’t ready to spend a premium on an OEM replacement. This charger seems as well made as OEM and works great.

I wish that I had bought this charger before I recycled my old batteries. The standard charger has lights that illuminate only when a battery is inserted. This charger has a light on whenever it is plugged in to the power. I had left my old charger plugged in for long periods of time. I assumed that my batteries had worn out when I couldn't charge them anymore, so I recycled the old batteries and bought two new ones. The new batteries were partially charged when they arrived, so used both of them until they were discharged. Then I found that my new batteries would not charge. At first I though I got a couple of bad batteries, but I saw this charger on sale for a reasonable price, so I bought it to test if the old charger was broken and, if it wasn't, to have a second charger so I could charge both batteries at the same time. Once it arrived, both of the new batteries charged fully and I now know that the problem was the old charger had broken. Considering that the cost of the charge is a fraction of the battery cost, I would suggest that people consider buying a replacement charger before buying new batteries.
