These hood pins are just what I needed for the Baja. I have a one piece tilt front end and iv'e been looking for an easy way to keep the hood down and secure but at the same time easy to open if there is some kind of emergency. They are nice and are a good length. the cables are great so you don’t lose your hood pins. I will be riveting the carbon fiber washer deal on instead of using the supplied screws. I would purchase agin if needed

I am constantly going under the hood so I disabled the standard hood latch and just use these pins now. I didn't want them for the look I actually needed them for the function for easier engine access. Pins are always tricky to install and get lined up but its nice that they have some larger washers to hide your crimes if your holes are off a little. Install was a little tricky but I got them in and they hold the hood down well.

This would work well for a hood on a hot rod. Follow instructions carefully because you will have to drill holes in your hood. Two large ones for the pins, and eight small ones for the little covers going around the pins.

I got this set to replace the broken latches on my backhoe, photo 5. They work well for my purpose but are not as advertised. They are not made of stainless steel and carbon fiber. The carbon fiber is a disc of steel with a sticker on it. The other parts are chromed steel. The screws for the discs are very poor quality. This set is fairly cheap but poor quality. I would not buy it again.

This isn’t carbon fiber. And this isn’t stainless steel either, just more misrepresented Chinese junk. This disks are steel with “carbon fiber” decals, and all other metal pieces are poorly chromed steel. Complete trash.
