Bought the item but the level portion is not level how do you suppose to properly use if its not level. I understand that it's not the top of the line brand but come on ...

First time use, tool tipped over and bubble level fell off. Hot glued it back in place, hope it stays now.

The marking pin is loosened with an included Allen wrench. When loosened, the pin can fall out in either direction. The marked angles with the bubble level should work fine as long as your tubing is leveled as well. A small screw holds this in place. If it was designed so that the screw only applied tension, this would be okay. But if you turn the angle counterclockwise, it loosens the screw completely. So what you need to do is set the angle and make sure to tighten this screw. As for the angle markings. My opinion is that the markings are not precisely made. Are the angles correct? I hope so. But the marks are "fat" and not very fine--so not very precise. At the end of the day, it will be useful for marking holes and notching. Just not the ideal design, in my opinion.

I ordered this for my husband who uses a center head regularly in his line of work. He says this center head is pretty good, but he would like it better if the punch had a bump to hold it in, or was spring-loaded, which would keep the punch from falling out. As it now, the punch comes out because it doesn't have anything to hold it in. That said, It can be tightened with an Allen wrench so that it won't slide out, but he feels that's an extra piece to the tool that isn't needed. Otherwise it does the job and is fairly accurate.

It seems like the bubble level lines are to far apart. It was had to get it to line up exactly level. Maybe I need to try it some more?
