These star nuts are worth 5 stars for what they do. I wrote "be careful" since they can NOT be used with forks with carbon steerer tubes, only forks with metal steerers. I have two carbon forks but luckily they both have metal steerers. Since your life literally depends on the strength of the steerer, I much prefer them over an all-carbon fork. I also bought a star nut driver tool with makes the installation foolproof and sets it perfectly straight and at the right depth.
