The lighted end melted around the ports and began to emit a burning smell within a few months. I was powering a 10k btu floor air conditioner with it. The product did not stop working, but the scorching on the female plug caused me great concern. This is the heaviest 10/3 extension cord that I've been able to find that is not made by Yellow Jacket. It's an off-brand. It was used for floor heaters and floor acs near the peak wattage limit in Summer and winter for two seasons of a single calender year. I expected better. The material around the openings needs to be reinforced to resist higher temperature thresholds. The cord itself did fine. The female plug did not meet expectations.Update: post purchase, seller contacted me and claimed to have shipped me a replacement. I checked my order que and have no record of a replacement shipment being sent. I waited for quite some time for it to simply turn up. It has not. I am not at the address where I originally ordered the product. If it is true the will refund or replace for free, I woud like it sent out to my current shipping address instead. I will update this review when I receive a replacement or refund, whichever is preferable. I still need a like product. I use similar cables 24/7 for power supply. They are crucial to my operations.Update 2-10-25 Received replacement. Warranty coverage by seller is very good. I woukd buy again for that reason.

Got this to plug my Ninja outdoor grill. It is thicker than I anticipated and it works great. Does not get hot. Plug lites up to see power is on. Length is perfect. Works well for my needs.

I use to it to charge my electric car and so far it hasn’t overheated (you are not supposed to use extension wires for car charging - i have no choice) my last one did burn out eventually but this one has been good so far. Black color and summer heat do not usually mix - will update if it burns out in the summer then likely the black color is the issue

I purchased this heavy duty cable to extend the length of my Tesla Mobile Charging Kit cable. I plug this into the outlet in my garage wall 115V outlet, then connect it the Tesla Charging Kit. This gives me the additional cable I need to reach the charging port on my Tesla Model Y.The plugs on this cable are very sturdy. One end is lighted which helps to insure it is getting power to my charging kit. When using the Tesla Mobile Charging Kit, a heavy duty 10/3 SJTW cable is essential. The minimum size in my view to prevent overheating cables and to allow the Mobile charger to work correctly. I'm getting the full output of 120V at 12Amps from my outlet into my Tesla.Highly Recommended.

This is a thick, and high quality extension cord. I use it outdoors to extend my 120 volt electric vehicle charger. I appreciate the lighted end because it makes it easier to spot the cord at night when plugging in.

10/3 is very heavy and bulky even if it is a 6 ft length extension power cord. The brand's products are the lowest price ones that I found on Amazon.ca, however, it has the certified label stuck on the cable and it does not warm or hot when used for an extension cord. It is a good choice for me to extend the power connection for high-power consumption electrical appliances.
