The grips that came with my bike had a palm support but did not clamp onto the handlebars so they would rotate. I saw these, made the purchased, and installed them on my bike. They appear to be great quality and the locking clamp works as expected. They haven't moved since I put them on my bike. I would buy them again.

I got these for myself years ago and just got them for my wife. I surprisingly get comments on these a lot on my bike. They help my hands with fatigue on longer rides and have just the right amount of design so they don't feel too bland while being a great bargain! I would absolutely repeat-buy these again

I had been eyeing these bike grips for awhile but was not sure if I should spend so much. I finally pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. They are well worth the price for the comfort you will receive. I ride anywhere between 30-50 miles at a time and the grips I had were so uncomfortable. This are incredibly well made and easy to install. They secure well to your handle bar and provide an amazing amount of grip and comfort. I really did not know what I was missing until I used these. They also allow you to change your hand positions to provide better control of the bike. The best part that I had no idea until I purchased these is that now I find myself using better posture and now my back doesn't get as tight as it sometimes would during my long rides.

Changed out OEM grips on Specialized Vado Turbo e-bike and so much better for overall gripping and comfort. Easy to adjust and secure with single screw and easy to install with in-stem mirror. Specialized would be well advised to do a joint venture with ERGON to include these grips on all their e-bikes.

I do some endurance mtb racing for 50-80mi etc, usually taking 5-9hr or more and my hands thanked me big time for installing these. I have been using them now for good 5 years and re-purchased them on my last 3 bikes I had. On my last bike, when they wore out, I re-purchased them again. They are pretty sturdy, the rubber density is pretty firm with the just right amount of cushion. They last for a long time. They reduce hand fatigue during long mtb rides. I have now recommended them to others who also bought them and like them.Don't get me wrong, I too did not like that the price is higher than similarly looking no-name brand imitation grips that you can get for a fraction of the price. And I did that too. Then I developed a pain in my thumb during my endurance mtb races. I got bikes tuned, replaced cables, gears, repositioned shifters, brake levers, you name it. Nothing helped the pain. Than I realized that the pain developed right when I installed the cheapo no-name endurance grips. OK, I forked the money and bought these. Surprise, surprise. The pain disappeared shortly after. Lesson learned, fork the money for the best and forget about it and enjoy the sport you love. Apparently, it had to do with the thickness of the rubber near the shifter that caused strain on my thumb with the other grips. These Ergon grips are truly ergonomically designed. I won't dare to buy anything else. I wasted one full mtb season on troubleshooting this and riding my mtb in thumb pain. Hope this helps you not to make the same mistake.

Unfortunately, what I received from Amazon was the incorrect model, and had to return it. But, I found the GP1 locally, for less than Amazon's price, and have been using them for a few weeks now. Prior to these grips, I was getting numb in my ring and pinky fingers on both hands, far worse on my left (as I still have lingering nerve damage from a 2007 injury). The grips themselves were easy enough to install, but as of yet I have not installed the end caps, as they are way too snug for the (standard sized) handlebar and don't even go in all the way. I am leaving them off for the time being, while I decide on a bike mirror. But still, these could be easier to work with.Adjusting the correct angle takes some trial and error, and even now I am not sure I have it done right. I now get numbness in the thumbs rather than the other fingers. Yet, my wrists are now at a more correct angle, and overall it is a more comfortable riding experience with these grips. I ordered the large size due to long fingers--I'm one of those that has trouble finding even extra large gloves never fit me properly.Overall I am glad I invested in these grips, and am looking at getting another set (in small) for another bike in the family.Mounting tip: there are two size options, small and large. Also, make very certain you select the correct model. In the GP1, there are three different shifter choices. The Regular model fits trigger shifters. The GripShift fits grip shifters. There is a third model (the one Amazon sent incorrectly) for a Rohloff® / Nexus® shifter setup. For grip shifters, however, you may or may not be able to use these grips without changing out the shifters. One of the family bikes is a Giant Sedona, which utilizes a wide SRAM grip shifter. The GripShift model is twice as long as the existing stationary grips, so they will never fit. There are other grip shifters that use the newer narrow configuration (which you can buy for under $20), or you can also switch to trigger shifters for ~$25 and use the Regular model GP1.Overall I am glad I purchased these, but I still have numbness. Whether further adjustment cures that remains to be seen. As for ordering on Amazon, be aware that they do not yet have the right product options available, not to mention third party sellers who cluelessly add the same products themselves and make no note of model or size. You're possibly better off buying these in person, where you can physically see the package markings.
