This Ice Chest ice maker is absolutely the best thing that ever happened to me outdoor life sense the tent In my tests it froze water in the cooler half. And the ice maker works perfectly! Makes 6 Cubes at a time. When the tray is full the cooler returns to the fridge. The system is a AC/DC system. Also for an additional charge ($150.00) you can purchase a battery to operate the car Refrigerator.I recommend this to anyone.

The icemaker did not work and complained that water must be added. I tried priming the pump using the rinse cycle multiple times, but still nothing. I used a vacuum bag syringe and pushed water through the system, so I know there isn't an obstruction and that the line is primed. Still nothing. The pump is dead or not connected, which is a problem that never should have escaped quality control (If they have any).In addition the drain is in a ridiculous spot. So I had to sponge 2 quarts of water out. During that time the plug for the icemaker water tank came out putting water all over the floor. Speaking of plugs, the freezer plug is in no way water tight, which would probably lead to a further mess.Over $300??? Euhomy should be paying me for beta testing, troubleshooting, and wasting my time. I would give it zero stars if amazon would let me. I'll not ay problems with returning this item here in an update.

A little disappointed on ice maker. What a great idea as a camp host in a little bare bones a frame! I took it out on one trip and the ice maker stopped working. Contacted customer service, received prompt replies and they replaced the defective unit. Seems to be working fine at this point.I reccomend this product, especially if you get a good one. Just be ready to deal with customer service (which solved the problem) if you get one with a bad ice maker. Thanks for reading.

(1 year update)It works perfectly fine! I love being able to make ice in it daily and especially the ability to turn on and off the ice maker from anywhere in the house. I keep ice cream bars in the freezer side and make ice daily. Be sure to check your drain hole on occasion and clean your unit out with a good wipe down. One day the water wasn’t dispensing and I realized some lint got into the drain hole at the bottom of the unit where water is kept - my fault for not cleaning or simply checking it - as one would need to with any ice maker. I simply removed the lint. In less than a second it was working perfectly fine. I’m still in love with it!(10 month update)Still no issues and ice maker is working perfectly, used daily. On occasion I use up the water that is reserved for making ice and will wipe down the water container so my ice stays clean. Unit has never had any leaks as I used plumbers tape around the plug. I’ve kept it in my home office and use it all the time without issues.(Seven month update)The unit is still working great! I leave my unit on as a freezer. When making ice, the temp will go from -4 to 14 degrees over the span of filling the entire bin of ice. When it gets full, I turn off the ice function and the freezer side catches up to -4 in a short period without opening the freezer door. This hasn’t affected my ice cream or food at all. For the person that mentioned beta testing, it sounds like you didn’t add enough water to make ice cubes. There’s a water fill line inside the ice making to look for - it needs enough water to pull through the chamber to produce ice. The drain plug is on the bottom of the ice chest which shouldn’t be a big deal at all. If that’s an inconvenience, that is a very minimal issue, if one at all. I still love my Euhomy and use it daily without issues. I’m sorry that those that have had them haven’t contacted customer service for support. There is a warranty too, so not sure why those folks aren’t just following up to get the most out of this unit. By comparison, there is a majorly expensive version of a car fridge ice chest they could opt for instead, but why bother when this unit provides an affordable alternative.(Four month update)I have used this cooler every day for four months, leaving it plugged in as a freezer in the house. Not a single issue with keeping my food frozen! It’s summer right now and I work from home. I have this unit next to my desk. Everyday for the past 2 months, I have enjoyed the ice making feature, filling it up with a full basket of ice daily. No issues with the ice maker like I had experienced earlier. Having this in the back of my suv while camping was so much fun! Being able to make ice anytime while keeping food cold was great. No stopping to buy ice. I’m really pleased with the solid build of the unit and the internal light is a great feature at night while at camp. This is a solid cooler with wonderful features. No regrets!—Initially I had issues with the unit. The ice maker would freeze into a solid block because the ice cubes wouldn’t release. I thought it was because I had had the freezer set too low continuously that caused the issue. I reached out to customer support that offered a diagram and they suggested pushing the metal evaporator up a bit. I lightly did this but too afraid I’ll break it so I’m hoping my attempt at a slight adjustment has solved this issue. So far so good.The unit overall is built very well and the unique feature of making ice is what drew me to buying this. The ice feature doesn’t take long to create a single batch of 6 ice cubes. I have the unit set to -2 F so I can keep ice cream in it. It has kept temperature well as there hasn’t been any issue with the food quality even with the expected minimal fluctuations in temperature when making ice cubes. The power is temporarily focused on the ice maker and the other side is off or kept in insulation mode so expect 10-12F range for the freezer when making ice cubes. Once you select to stop making ice cubes the freezer temp will catch up to its previous setting. The plug for the food storage side will be fine if you wrap it with plumbers tape.I appreciate the vendor contacting me and monitoring the product issue. They went above and beyond to help me and feel like a valued customer. It makes me confident that they will be responsive with product support needs and I look forward to seeing what other innovations they create.
