I bought this for my son, and he said it works great. Just make sure you don't open up the inner package until you're ready to shape it because you can't wait too long or you'll ruin it and have to buy another one.

I actually tried a cheaper leg guard hoping that it would suffice but had to return it for the EvoShield; far more expensive but worth it.

My son wanted this to protect his ankle during baseball. He had broken his ankle previously and had a metal spring put inside his ankle. He wanted a guard that would really protect his ankle. His ankle was hit a couple of times this season and this guard saved him.

I play in a mixed slow pitch league and bought one for each leg. Follow the instructions and they easily mold to your shins. They offer great protection but don’t hinder your ability to run.
