Purchased this muffler for a first year early model quest QST22BE462 and it will mount to the 22hp Briggs engine but exhaust pipes are longer than the original muffler about 3/4 inches which makes it hang lower than original, so when you put the skid plate that fits under muffler back on it has to be jacked up with a jack and install 2 longer back bolts to make it work, so don’t purchase this for the early model unless you want to do some modifications
