This is an eyepiece holder for the telescope with a geared edge that can move up or down with the telescope to adjust your view. The eyepiece holder is for 2" eyepieces. This is similar to an OEM Meade Autostar Part. This is a 3D printed part, so there may be some slight variations in the print.

The rack didnโt even come close to fitting the Pinion gear. It didnโt have a stop end to it so it just slid out out. Eye piece lens holder isnโt threaded so you canโt put a thumb screw in.I really wanted it to work. Im hopeful I can maybe shim it and it will connect with pinion.

I had purchased a used telescope (Meade DS114 Autostar) and the gear drive was stripped horribly. This fits perfectly, but it is quite a bit longer than the one that came with the scope. I believe the model I have is a newer Bird Jones design with a short barrel and a corrector lens built in. I transffered the corrector lens and the scope does work, it is just overdriven. Sort of like having a 2X Barlow in place. But it does work. With an older long tube DS114AT this should work just fine. I could have also cut it shorter and used the corrector, but hey, it works, scope brought back from the dead!

I have recieved this and the size was so far off the gear doesn't engage with teeth. Tried to have a new one sent out and it is the same.

The product pictures start with the full set of focuser that made me thinking it is a full set. The picture should start with the actual parts with full set picture at the end.
