All I can say is that I bought this to put on top of my dashboard to hold my radar detector in place on my new 2019 vehicle. After less than 1 week, I was curious to see if it had done any damage to the dashboard even though the advertised said it would not. Well it discolored my dash board and now has an off color black rectangle the shape of the pad!!! It will not rub off!. I think there was a chemical reaction between the dash and the pad. I used some Armoral on the top of the dash which only helped a little but it is better. This product sucks big time and has been returned. Maybe Amazon would like to foot the bill for a new dash board cover.

Nice looking and seemed to work great from the start, but after a couple weeks my phone would just fall off. I know they tell you that you have to rinse the item and keep it clean, and also clean off your phone etc. But honestly, this sits in your car. I don't know how often you are going to want to pull it out and clean it and constantly be wiping off the back of your phone case. Seemed like it was going to be just what I needed but it turned out to be another waste of money. I still try to stick my phone to it but it always ends up on the floor of the car and I can't be running into the house every time to wipe off the back. I would recommend some other type of product - I'm still looking....

I use this thing to hold down my phone in the car... at least used to because it actually ended up sticking more to the phone than my car. Need to somehow get it to stick better on one side than the other...However, this thing does work pretty well for just holding down glasses/clip on glasses. I haven't had them slide yet even when trying to make them slide. And it hasn't left a residue on multiple surfaces I've used it on thus far (faux plastic wood and black plastic molding?).Overall, seems to work pretty well except when it sticks to the object on top too well and the entire thing pulls off the bottom surface when trying to remove the object on top.

First let me say that there are two sides on this pad. Each works better for different surfaces. Secondly my dash is very wavy and not really flat anywhere. It also has two surfaces. Mostly textured with a smooth surface above the console unit.The pad has a chequered surface like in the first pic but on the back the surface is smooth. I found that for me, the smooth surface worked best on the part of the dash which also was smooth. Amazing in fact...better than many adhesives and nearly everyone who saw it thought I had glued it on. I was starting to worry that it might leave a residue because it stuck so well, but every once in awhile I checked it and it came off fine with no residue so far (2-3 months).But the checquered surface worked best on the textured part of the dash. Chequered surface did not stick well to my phone while it was in the case. I suspect it would work better directly attached to my phone but I didn't go that far because I already had a mount for my phone and didn't want to bother taking the case off.I used the smooth side on a curved section above the console. I typically use my transponder and it doesn't budge an inch while commuting to work or whenever. I never even removed the adhesive strips offtransponder so it's actully sticking to the slippery translucent adhesive covers. Considering that the dash is curved Im amazed it even sticks. But I even stuck a stylus pen to it once and had to pry it off even though it was only stuck at one point because the dash is curved and not flat. Simply amazing! Especially considering it has no adhesive. Awesome!

I've had this a few months now, with some days in the high 90's F with however high inside the car and it's worked great.The instructions do say not to use car cleaner type products on the dash or it won't stick and that is true, it will slide around, but a alcohol wipte sorted that out. My TomTom, has stayed on this thing, rock solid. It's a little dusty now but not needed to wash it, but then I'm not taking things off and on daily. Good size too.Super happy with this!

Great product!I often use my Galaxy Note 3 as a GPS and I got tired of trying to balance it on its edge on the shelf in front of my Escape's clock/display only to cringe every time it flipped face down with a thud due to the motion of the car. This mat is the perfect size for both my phone and my car's cubby - the mat keeps my phone tilted perfectly on its edge with no motion while I'm using it, and also keeps it stuck in place when I just toss it up there during normal driving.Finally, there is no residue on either my phone or my car, even after several days in a row of direct sunlight on 90+ degree days. I'm very satisfied with my purchase!

This is a truly great product. I've been using this for more that 2 months and its still working as well as the day I took it out of the box. I use it to hold a radar detector on the dash and that detector never moves from where its placed. For much of the time I've had the detector placed where its been on the rise angle of the dash created around the instrument cluster and stays right in place. I've move the dash mat around and it leaves no residue, remains soft and flexible so it conforms to irregular surfaces. Prior to this I used some waffle patterned skid resistant material and with that the weight of the power cord would constantly pull the unit out of position. I would buy this again and will the next time I need to keep something where I place it.
