Not the best for training since it has elasticity but even then, pleased with leash.

Very well built, handle has a thin but very noticeable comfort cousin inside, car belt buckle has bungee strap that holds it flat against leash when not in use, the bungee part is soft enough for my 20 pound dog but not wimpy so would be good for larger dogs too, the non stretch part of the leash is two thick straps much stronger than standard leashes and has a bit of a stretch to it as well, the coloring is great nice and bright (I got orange,) the d ring at the bottom is attached well and not some thin metal loop it is solid metal just like the seat belt clip, the handle at the bottom is good (could be easier to grab inside the loop hole,) the latch on the end is sturdy and has a locking cover (could be better if it was more like the twist lock on a climbers carabiner.) All that being said this thing is amazing and a great price too for the quality of the built and materials. I ordered a green one with in a couple hours of having the first one, it is that great.

We've always had small dogs. Twine would be enough to hold them. Our new puppy of 5 months already weights more than all the others combined. She chewed through her old leash. We got another nylon one and the holding loop cut my hands. My wife can't walk the dog due to puppy's strength. So I went looking for a better leash, not really knowing what I needed.Found this leash quickly and saw a similar leash $5 cheaper which I almost got until I saw a review about how it cut the owner's hand. The listing here said the handle was padded.Got it, and it's a heavy leash. This thing is designed for giant dogs but will work really well for my 40 lb puppy (and eventual 70 lb dog).I like the stretch. She'd been yanking my arm off suddenly haring off in a different direction. The shock absorber works well. I particularly love the handle for controlling the dog. I'm 6'2", puppy is probably a foot and a half now, two feet high in the next few months. It's a good height. I can slide my hand down the stretchy cord, grab the handle and still stand up straight and control the pup.The clasp is unique. Because it's for big dogs, it's a heavy-duty clasp that works like a carbinger. It has a slider that you pull down and then it can open. Early in the morning, my foggy brain can have a problem with that, but I do like it. It's cruddy to have a good leash where the clasp breaks.Very happy with this leash. Good job people!

Well thought out, designed and executed product. The leash is made of thick, durable material, has the awesome seatbelt clip, comfortable handle and even a green reflective patch for extra visibility. The stretch portion is very cool, as it eliminates the snap of the pull from my dog. I have only had it a few weeks now, but it still retracts the way it did when it arrived, even with all my ~70 lbs dog pulling on it ( we walk ~5 mi/day). Che clip is phenomenal, very large and strong and easy to clip onto the collar. The extra D ring is not a great idea in hindsight, as the poop bag holder I had clipped on it hit my dogs back as we walked. Simple solution though, I put the holder on the seatbelt clip loop. Also, the traffic handle may not be the easiest to grab as it is not looped outward, but is still very handy to have. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this leash, and consider all of its features revolutionary, think Prius vs. Lamborghini...

I really like this leash. It’s not perfect, but it does a lot of things right, and the seller completely stands behind their product. What I like about it:The stretchy bungee section takes a lot of the stress of a puller or quick bolt and lessens the jerk to your arm. It also provides some resistance to the dog before the jarring stop on most leashes. It also has a loop section near the dog where you can hold if you need tight control in traffic or around other dogs or people. There is also a ring near the top of this section. When I take my dog out on walks I often clip a handle leash (12” handle with a clip) to it and use that to comfortably guide the dog and have the full leash handle in my other hand for when I want to let it go and give my pet more freedom and slack. The handle of the leash is pretty comfortable and there is a fabric loop near it which can be slid upwards to keep the loop from easily sliding off your wrist. The clip is easy to use and has a simple slider which locks it closed. It can turn 360° so if the dog turns around a lot it will not tangle the leash.Things I didn’t care for:The seat belt clip worked but it’s placement still gave the animal enough room to hop into the front seat from the back seat. The leash is not chew proof. In all fairness, my dog is a chewer, and he got a hold of it and chewed a hole that almost severed it and made it unusable within 20 minutes of getting his mouth on it.All that said, the seller offers a guarantee that they stand behind their product if it breaks or gets chewed. I contacted them to see what they would say and, as promised, they issued a refund after I sent them pictures. I do like the leash very much though and used that refund to purchase another (which I am more careful with to make sure it doesn’t get chewed again). My dog is about 30 lbs and I feel the leash is perfect for him and feel confident using it with larger dogs as well.
