I'm currently contemplating the impact of the new component I've chosen. While I believe it may resemble a standard plate, I’m open to the possibility of being mistaken. Once I install it, I’ll be able to assess whether there’s a significant transformation in the acoustic quality of the guitar. If the sound improves dramatically, it could prove to be an exceptional addition. I look forward to seeing how it all unfolds…

The description would lead you to believe that this is a larger and heavier replacement for the factory block. It is not larger in any respect. The dimensions are identical to the original Floyd Rose block and the weight is almost identical. No extra mass means no increased sustain or improvement. Also, the hardware included was incorrect. This is fine for a general replacement but is not an upgrade.

The title is misleading, these are NOT "Fat Brass" blocks, but rather just a replacement for the original blocks. Which if your guitar has a real FR in it, probably already has a Nickel plated brass block on it. If you have the licensed trems, these are definitely better all around to have in your guitar than the pot metal blocks.

So i originally bought the Musically branded 32mm height. It sat slightly shorter than the original block but is polished and looks much nicer than this generic block with only 34mm printed on it.Musically was sold out of 34mm or i’d go with them.Because Musically didn’t have a 34mm i bought this one for the same price of $13+tax and it doesn’t look as good, refer to pictures to see what i mean but it does work.Still It fit exactly the same but had the two millimeters higher that i needed.I just do not want the block hitting anything when i pull octaves on the trem or i’d get a larger one.The 32 is definitely too small but both are solid brass and nice enough. If you think you need a 32mm you likely actually need a 34mm to match the factory height and size of your old block, this the case with all my Jackson ,ESP,Ibanez,BC Rich Floyd Rose trems!Comes with allen bolts as opposed to the Phillips head screws the Musically comes with, both work fine but i used the Phillip head screws from the Musically block that recessed perfectly onto the Jackson bridge, again please see my pictures.I’ll use the allen bolts with the 32mm on another project i guess.Hope this helps someone who’s not sure what they should do.Check out the pictures to see both blocks and the bridge.

This is a standard block, not a fat block by any stretch.

If you need to change your block size, this is a very well-machined alternative. If you want to install a Floyd in a recessed guitar, you're probably going to use a 37mm block, but if you need to mount it above the body without recessing routes, a 42mm is probably the ticket. HOWEVER - this is NOT, as advertised, a "fat brass" block - it is the standard 8mm width. If you think you need more weight in your block, you'll want to use 10mm, and maybe an L-shape. But I would advise caution - bigger is not necessarily better. Too much brass might soften the tone, and additional weight will make 'flutters' and other floating effects less dramatic. Fat blocks can also lead to clearance issues in the trem cavity. Experiment to find the 'sweet spot'. For me, this item - 42mm, but thin - is the ticket.

The listing calls these “fat brass blocks” but they’re the same size as the stock Floyd Rose blocks . In other words they’re thin , yes they’re made of brass but they’re not fat. The official FR brass blocks are actually fatter/ thicker / heavier . The official blocks aren’t even that much more either , I’ve seen them online for $25 just yesterday , this was $17 , just buy the real thing . And no it doesn’t come with screws either
