Fel pro says, install clean and dry. The instructions inside the package (you can't return it after it's been opened) say use a contact adhesive (but not which type) to glue the gasket to the head and use the manifold (snugged down ) to set the glue. Then when it has set you may have to manually trim the gasket to fit with a sharp blade. The cork end gaskets have no peel and stick adhesive. If I had known how generic this set was I may have tried a different company who made a more specific product// the piston ports and bolt holes were spot on. I had to trim the water ports, there weren't any smog port holes ('79 Cali emissions, left and right secondary check valves) I had to cut them free hand. None of the cork end gaskets fit, I had to trim them by hand . I used right stuff for small surface imperfections and water port corrosion and a bunch ,top and bottom on the end gaskets. It's only been a week but they stopped the leaks okay. I would buy them again.

Worked great on my 302 with AFR 185 heads and Victor Jr. intake. Threw out the cork end gaskets and used RTV instead.
