The right or passenger side valve cover gasket is the wrong gasket. did not realize this until i recently replaced the timing chain. I bought part earlier now I am beyond being able to return it

This product will not work on Ford f150 3.5 L Ecoboost engines built after 08/01/2012.The passenger side valve cover gasket is different.There are not options or cut off dates when you place your order. It should specify the build date and mention design change . If your engine/ truck was built after 8/1/2012 order the 2013 gaskets.

The EXACT month of manufacture for your vehicle will affect if this part will work. Both Amazon and O'Reilly confirmed this was the correct set for my 2013 F-150 3.5L EcoBoost. My 2013 was manufactured in December of 2012 so this set was not compatible - per the Ford Dealership. Per my mechanic, one of the seals that is driven into the valve cover was maybe 20 thousandths larger than expected. Not visible to the naked eye, but when he drove it in place, it cracked the valve cover. Just take extra care. Fel-Pro makes excellent products - just be totally sure you ask all of the right questions. There is another Fel-Pro set that likely works properly.
