Fender Vintera ‘60’s Strat pickups produce the crystalline and bell-like tone that put Fender on the musical map. Non-beveled alnico 5 magnets and enamel-coated wire create a classic ‘60’s tight and focused voice. The original magnet stagger for even output and a RWRP middle pickup eliminate hum in positions 2 and 4 complete the package.

Perfect upgrade on my parts-caster. Has the Strat “quack” sound which is exactly what I was looking for.

Put these in a solderless kit, and the neck pickup was completely dead. Returned immediately.

Upgraded a 1995 American Standard from factory standard to these. Definitely get a bit more punch and sustain. I especially like the way they seem to help sustain on harmonics at *each* pickup. I used to get a muddy response at the middle pickup settings. Now its nice and chimy. Not the best pickups you can buy but a definite upgrade from factory if you want a bit more heat.

Replaced stock bullet Strat pickups with these and I was not disappointed. The stock pickups had a balance hot sound to them. These have that bluesy chime sound, what you expect from a vintage 60s Fender Stratocaster. Exactly what I wanted, not a bad price either.

Look at the state of that soldering. It looks like someone has soldered with a blow torch . Middle pickup did not work at all until I soldered the wires correctly. Where was quality control on the day these were made ? In my opinion I think I should at least get a partial refund on this product as the quality was not up to standard.I or nobody else should have to put right anyones shoddy work.

I have a 50 year old Japanese strat knockoff that I adore, but the electronics were aging and the original pickups were falling apart. I replaced the pots and wires, 3-way switch, and got these lovely Vintera pickups. They sound good and I am satisfied.I would suggest that if you go to the trouble of replace the pups also replace all of the pots while you're at it. The pickups won't sound as good if you have noisy volume and tone pots.It took about 45 minutes to install with my non-steller soldering skills.I got these fender pups because they were on sale. These are good pups, but are not a great value for money. There are options that are half the price and very satisfactory.

I have watched several demos and the Vintera 60’s vintage pickups appear to be what I am looking for, so I was excited at first to get them, but I have had to return them three times so far.For starters, the output rating is all over the board. Two sets had neck pickups rated at 5.6K, another had the neck rated at 5.9K, higher than the middle. It is supposed to be 5.7k (heck, I would have even accepted 5.8).Second, as others have mentioned, the soldering is absolutely awful. The bobbins are burnt, and it appears they used an angle grinder or Dremel or something to grind down the gobs of excess solder.Lastly, each one comes in packaging that looks like it is actually from the 1960s. I don’t think this is intentional on fender’s part. To me, it looks like these have been returned by several other customers.I’m currently waiting on set four. If it’s anything like the others, I’ll likely be returning and looking to another manufacturer. There are plenty of guys in the US hand-winding pickups these days for a comparable price. I’m honestly starting to think you might just be paying for the fender logo without the quality at this point.
