These poles are just as advertised & will work great for my upcoming backpacking trip. I have a hammock tent & these are backup for if there are no trees spaced apart for me to hang my hammock from, then I can just now setup my hammock on the ground like a tent using clips to connect the top of my hammock to the poles.After reading some reviews was not sure about buying these particular ones but happy I did. Ppl need to understand that during manufacturing defects happen & get pass inspection, it happens no matter how much you spend on any given item. That's why you don't wait tell last minute to buy an item you need in proper working condition, so if it is defected you have time to get it exchanged.I do understand that there are dishonest sellers on Amazon but they are everywhere not just here & we just have to let those who need to know of the issue & in time it will get handled.

The poles are standard fiberglass poles, but they are too short for my tent. I wanted them to revitalize an older tent that I've had around for several years.

These function, but they are definitely not as good as my name brand poles. They work, but they are clearly not as good as the original ones I got.

This is 1 pole, not 8 poles. It is 1 tent pole comprised of 8 segments. 8 segments is not 8 poles.

The cord inside the pole broke before I could even attempt to use it. The cord is cheap and was apparently already worn when I received the item. As soon as I started assembling the pole, it broke. What a waste!
